this is a heartbreaking situation
a family's mother has been in a hospital for weeks and probably not going to be able to come home
they need to rehome her four cats but they are all older cats
one of them is only 11
two of them are 15
one of the 15-year-olds is diabetic and has thyroid issues
the cat with the medical issues would need to go to a home with someone who knows how to deal with those issues and could afford the medicine

All the cats have been declawed so they would be perfect for an older person who doesn't want a young cat and can't deal with claws

please let me know if you have any interest
the medical cat is the most serious in need because he's the one that is needs to be getting his medicine regularly
scout would come with some of his medicine but after that's gone you would have to be able to afford to provide it

Squish has a deformity in her right wrist they said at UF
she limps and needs a quieter life
she would do so well with an older couple that dont want an overly energetic dog
she is the calmer of the group and just loves to stare into your eyes
Her adoption fee is only $20 thanks to the shelter for helping us get them fixed

come meet her

ALL ADOPTED

going to be working with a local lady who has been trying to get on top of some feral strays that showed up
the two momma sister cats are gorgeous and sweet and each had a litter
they are only 11 months old and will be getting tested and fixed soon
if someone wanted to adopt I can get them done through the rescue but if not they will have to go through an ear tip program

these are the 6 kittens
not sure of gender but I think most of them are boys she said

they are only 6 and 7 weeks old so not ready to go yet

go see these babies at the williston shelter

these puppies are running out of time. they need a home before the 15th even if it's just a foster home
some kind of hound mix both females very sweet
the black one has a deformity in her right leg. she needs a quieter home, not as much activity. the tan one would be great with kids and other dogs
their adoption fee is $20. they're microchipped and fixed and have all their vaccines. please help me get these dogs out of here. I'm having a surgery on the 15th and I can't handle three dogs. my one puppy is enough

When the weather cools off we will be doing our Repurpose Project events and we also have an event date at Petsense in High Springs in OCtober.

We do not have enough volunteers to help set up and do the events so looking for people to commit to helping

We also need a few more people to help with cats in the cubicles at Petco in Gainesville usually Thursday through Saturday.

Please mark your calendars to see if you can help with any of these dates
normally we need you to show up early to help set up - we often set up day before at Repurpose and then need help during the event and then the biggest is during break down at the end as we have to move fast to get everything loaded so cats arent in carriers for a long time

Please message me with serious inquiries
Kids can get community credit time for helping with any of it

Repurpose is Saturdays
October 11th
November 8th
December 13th
December 20th

Petsense October 18th

Friday we had to take baby Jane to the vet. just out of nowhere. she started acting wonky and realized she was in accute liver failure. probably from not eating which it's hard to know if a cat is eating or not and they wait until they're critical before you see any signs
thankfully though I know it's fatty liver because she lost too much weight and that's something I can pull them out of at home with critical care

Pita and Leo, two of the cats from the home that was destroyed and we had to take four cats out. had to go in for blood work. Pita is most likely in renal failure which we already knew from her blood work last year, but it's advancing and Leo has been struggling with thyroids so we're trying to see if we need to adjust his medicine.
my kitten siren had to go for an exam because she has a sore on her belly. we don't know what it is. three kitties came in for blood pool for combo tasks

$700 that bill

that's why when I get money I don't want people to get too excited because it goes out almost as fast as it comes in because we have to take care of these animals. and we took on too many medically needy cats last year and it's hurting us.

thankfully baby Jane is doing better today and he's starting to take her food better

My Sunday morning

7 am give fluids and medicine to baby Jane, Make food for the three babies
make coffee
wake partner up so we can hurry up and have some fun for a little while
8 am syringe feed baby Jane (She has a cute liver failure from not eating in fatty liver so we're pulling her through that)
8 -10 sit and play a game on the computer with my partner
10 am give medicine to the two ringworm babies, mop up an accident
give fluids to Pita who is in renal failure
move the two mamas and their babies out to a bigger habitat
11 heading out to eat lunch and see a movie which we never do

having fun instead of cleaning the 10 kennels that need to be cleaned. this is my Sunday

A Matchmaking Service

Robin is a matchmaker, there is no doubt about that. She knows each one of her loveable (and sometimes not so loveable) furry pals.. and once she gets to know you she will find a match made to last. We are first and foremost a sanctuary to provide safe haven for cats who otherwise would be killed at a kill shelter, abandoned animals as well as assist when possible rehoming pets. We foster and take care of cats and help to find as many furever homes as possible thru private adoptions, adoption events and fund raisers. Call 352-284-5610 if you are interested in adopting one of our cats. We interview initially to see if you are a good fit for one of our animals, then we arrange you to meet them. You will fill out an application and then the fee is typically $75 which includes the animals spay/neuter, combo test, and all first year shots. The cats all get flea treatment and have been treated for worms. If they are younger and still need their shots we complete them after the adoption. Some cats are sponsored and may have a reduced fee.
