Declawing cats isn’t a “quick fix” — it’s cruel, unnecessary, and can cause a lifetime of pain and stress.

Thankfully, more places are recognizing that. New York, Maryland, and Massachusetts have banned the practice statewide, and cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Madison, Austin, Denver, Beverly Hills, and Berkeley have taken a stand, too.

🚨 Good news out of California! A bill to ban declawing just passed the first committee — thanks to passionate advocates who spoke up for cats and contacted their legislators.

We’ll keep fighting for local and statewide bans that protect cats and honor their natural behaviors. Because animals deserve better. 🐾

Get them neutered & spayed!

It's never too early for "The Talk."

🐾 Kittens can get pregnant at 4 months of age.

🐾 Cats can have 3 litters per year, of 4 to 6 kittens. That's at least 12-18 kittens born per cat in 1 year, and unfortunately, a lot of those kittens suffer or die (and if they survive, they also start having kittens in that same year.) This is why cat colonies get so out of control if those first free-roaming cats you see don't get fixed immediately!!!!

🐾 Spay/Neuter before 5 months because it's the right thing to do.

BAD NEWS: I'm fixing to have my rescue foreclosed and be homeless with 16 cats, 5 dogs, and 2 parrots, and 6 !! I'm not worried for us... even tho 3 of 4 of us are disabled with 3 on social security disability. But we have 17 cats, 5 dogs, and two parrots that need homes or foster homes. PLEASE..Let me know if you have any leads, ideas, etc. (Thank you for your tolerance on this forum).
