It's with a heavy heart that I share the news of Sage's passing today. 😔 My story as a professional dog trainer truly began in 2012 at PetSmart in West Boca Raton, and Sage was right there from the start. Funny enough, I needed a dog for demonstrations, and who would trust a dog trainer without one? Having only trained service dogs, I didn't have a personal pet. Then along came Sage – a spirited six-month-old who needed a home, had never walked on a leash, and definitely needed some veterinary care.
What an incredible teacher she turned out to be! For six years, Sage came to work with me, playing a vital role in socializing countless dogs. She patiently showed me the power of persistence and the importance of understanding each individual dog. If you knew Sage, you knew her gentle soul, her enthusiastic greetings, and her unwavering willingness to play or reassure a nervous friend.
Sage, you will be so deeply missed. Your impact on my life and the lives of so many dogs is immeasurable. ❤️ Please hug your dogs a little tighter today and make the most of every moment you have with them. Their time with us is short and should be treasured. Goodbye for now, my dear Sage. 🌈
