Looking for an old-style walking horse that’s short, stout, and can still keep up with any horse in the group? Meet Snipps!
Standing at 14.2hh, Snipps is built the way they used to be. She’s an easy keeper who stays fat on hay with only the occasional handful of grain. She has great feet and stays barefoot, along with a healthy, shiny coat that makes her a pretty low-maintenance girl.
✔️ Easy to catch
✔️ Good for the farrier
✔️ Stands tied
✔️ Loads
✔️ Side-passes
✔️ Rides alone or in a group
✔️ Goes where you point her on the trails
✔️ Not spooky!
Snipps has a big, ground-covering walk that will keep up with the bigger horses without a problem. Her stride might feel intimidating to a new rider, but she is SAFE. I’ve used her a few times in my lessons program to show the kids what a true gaited horse feels like.
