So proud of for being the bravest boy at the vet! He is boarding with us and our diligent staff noticed he was straining to p*e and his p*e was discolored! 🤒 Contacted mom and took him to the vet. His urine sample was dark brown from bacteria and blood from his irritated bladder wall. But the good news is he does not have a blockage and no bladder stones showed up on his XRay! Thank Dog! 🙌
Henry is an anxious dog generally, so it wasn't his favorite but the Doc at Small Door Vet took her time with him and he came back with his pain meds, feeling like he was floating on clouds (AKA high AF), as you can see in the pics 🤪. He has his antibiotics and his pain meds, which we will administer with food 2x per day, and he will come back for a follow-up when his mom gets back in town! The Doc said he should be feeling MUCH better by tomorrow! 🙏 Thank you and our awesome team at for all of your help! DOG BLESS!

👋 This is Mila. She is our Inventory Manager, responsible for keeping all of our supplies well-stocked. She made a trip to home depot for some spring cleaning supplies. The drive was precarious since she only has her learner's permit. But we made it back to The Mindful Mutt in one piece! Good job, Mimi! (PS: last 2 pics are of the other dogs she met, but he didn't even say hello or anything! HOW RUDE!)

City of Boston Animal Care and Control graciously bestowed our 2025 License upon us after our rigorous inspection. Thank you to for all that you do, and for helping enforce the new regulations. Here's to safer, cleaner, healthier dog care options in the coming years!

This is what muzzle training should look like. Slow, positive reinforcement, Dog gets excited to see the muzzle, slowly adding duration over time. We love Nala! She is doing so great!

🕊 Wherever you are, whatever you do or do not celebrate, I wish you joy, contentment, and gratefulness this holiday season and into the New Year. ❤️ On a personal note, as a child, I was raised in a strict religion that doesn't celebrate many holidays. As you can imagine, I was sad during the holidays for many years because I always felt alone. I even built a business that involves working during the holidays so that I would be busy! But I'm not lonely during the holidays anymore. I have my chosen family, including my wonderful husband, my best friends, and my clients, several of whom are closer to me than my own family, plus all of the dogs I know and love. This is what my family looks like these days. I am joyful. I am content. I am grateful. I hope you are, too.
🕯 In the spirit of Hanukkah, may we all bring light to others in times of darkness.

🚒 Thanks to the guys from and EMS for coming so quickly to our *FALSE* CO alarm! Twice in one day! EMPHASIS ON ***FALSE*** (you can relax PAWrents...) 👨‍🚒 Boone and Percy were THRILLED to have so many visitors! As you can tell, they thought the FD was here specifically to see them... The fourth photo shows Percy's disappointment when he realizes there are, in fact, no treats in the fireman's pockets. 😱
Not pictured: Mocha and Yuki barking VERY loudly at the "intruders" from the office 2 feet away. Two VERY different kinds of dog personalities 😂.
Good news: No one is dying. There is no fire and no CO. We will be replacing our faulty CO detector ASAP! Don't worry, PAWrents! I already have a backup CO detector installed (bc I'm a very anxious person and worry about everything, as you probably already know 🫣).
Welp... this was fun. Now, back to the realities of working at a dog daycare, finishing making the pups' dinners and de-icing the potty area. LFG!!!!

I know a couple dogs who have eaten rat poison recently. DO NOT allow your dog to sniff in bushes or random sidewalk grass patches. Muzzle train if necessary. Then you for raising awareness about this issue!

Working like a dawg 🐩 One of our longest part-time office admins, Olive the Maltipoo, is putting in a long day today. She worked so hard this morning that she needed a nice comfy bed to lay on while she finishes the day out. 5 o'clock can't come soon enough! Am I right!?
