Wisconsin DNR reached out today and I really appreciate it.

They told me not to worry — I’m already doing everything correctly — and they said they look forward to our continued positive relationship. They also confirmed what I’ve been saying: I’m not a breeder and we’ve never sold/adopted out any dogs.

They also made it clear that because this is an open case/process, they won’t be providing any information to people reaching out about me, the situation, or our animals — and that includes open records requests. It’s simply their policy.

Seriously, thank you for the professionalism and the outreach. It means a lot.

‼️🐺 Fake News on the Front Page: Not My Wolfdog, Not a Breeder, Zero Dogs Adopted Out — Here Are the Facts. 🤡 🌎

The Dial is out, my name is in it, and the story printed about me is flat-out wrong.

So I made this video this morning to set the record straight.

Here are the facts:

The wolfdog that came up at council was not mine and had nothing to do with my property or animals.

We have never sold or adopted out a single dog — zero.

I am not operating a “breeding operation.”

And for the record: they messaged me Monday at 7:11 PM, called Tuesday at 10:16 AM, and emailed at 12:18 PM — roughly 17 hours total — then still ran the story with my name attached.

A correction is already being prepared, but when you splash something on the front page, the correction needs to be just as loud. I’ll be filing an open records request to find out where this rumor even started.

Please don’t harass anyone — I’m posting this for transparency and to protect my name.

After the video, I did about 5 minutes of “journalism” and now I understand what actually happened.

Doesn’t change how I felt in the moment, unfortunately. I’d still possibly talk — but we’re going to set a few things straight first. If I haven’t offended you for life, feel free to reach out.

Joe — I spoke with Chief Dregne at the Boscobel Police Department. The wolfdog mentioned at last night’s council meeting was not mine and had nothing to do with my property or my animals.
