German Shepherd Puppy Recipe: Joint & Bone Health
German Shepherds are prone to hip dysplasia and need nutrients that support joint health and bone strength. Here's a nutritious meal to keep your German Shepherd puppy strong and healthy!
Ingredients:
Lean Beef - 200g (7 oz): Protein, essential minerals.
Brown Rice - 100g (3.5 oz): Energy, fiber.
Spinach - 50g (1.75 oz): Cooked, vitamins A, C, K.
Carrots - 50g (1.75 oz): Steamed, beta-carotene, vitamin A.
Pumpkin - 30g (1 oz): Cooked, fiber, vitamin A.
Egg - 1 large: Protein, fatty acids, vitamins D & B12.
Fish Oil - 5mL (1 tsp): Omega-3 fatty acids.
Eggshell Powder - 1 tsp: Natural calcium.
Glucosamine Supplement - As recommended by a vet.
Multivitamin Supplement - As recommended by a vet.
Instructions:
Cook all ingredients (beef, rice, spinach, carrots, pumpkin, egg).
Mix in a bowl. Add fish oil, eggshell powder, glucosamine, and multivitamin.
Cool before serving.
Storage:
Fridge: Up to 3 days.
Freezer: Up to 1 month (thaw before serving).
Serving Guide:
8-12 weeks: 1/3 to 1/2 cup per meal, 3 times a day (1 to 1.5 cups/day).
3-6 months: 1/2 to 3/4 cup per meal, 3 times a day (1.5 to 2.25 cups/day).
6-12 months: 3/4 to 1 cup per meal, 2 times a day (1.5 to 2 cups/day).
Adjust portions based on weight and activity level.
