"Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life" - Rick Waite ASC
I love my job. Twelve hour days working with a bunch of crazy creatives (and thats the nicest way I can describe us). Call times at three in the morning. Never really knowing what the next job is going to bring (Or when it's going to come). Keeping up with the ever changing technical landsca
pe of the media world we live in (4k! 6K!! 8K!!!). Getting lost in an edit until the grey cast of dawn sweeps over your keyboard... No seriously, It's the best job on earth. In college it took a couple years of courting (but not committing) to several different majors before I finally found my fit. Film School. I have always been a student of light, color and composition but I wanted a job that allowed me to be an artist as well as travel and work with others. When I found film it was everything I was looking for. A collaborative artform that let me live the lives of many. After graduating from Colorado Film School I spent a summer in Alaska where I worked as a camera operator on a reality show. Typical Alaskan love story- I fell in love with one of the cast members, a bush pilot, and well, the rest is history. A dog, a husband, two kids and ten years later I feel truly blessed to call Alaska my home. I have had the privilege to work on a variety of television shows, movies, independent shorts, commercials, and promotional films all over the state with some of the best film crews in the world. I love what I do, and am always looking for the next story to tell. IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2368529/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1
