It’s been a while since I shared a before-and-after, and this sweet pup reminded me why I love what I do. ❤️

He came to me in pretty rough shape, with severely overgrown nails. One nail had curled into his leg and had to be carefully removed. Thankfully, I had my husband there to lend a hand, and after about 30 minutes of trimming, shaping, and stopping a little bleeding (which can happen when nails have become severely overgrown), this sweet boy walked away so much more comfortable.

You’ll notice a little blood on his paws in the before photos—that was from safely removing the nail that had grown into his skin. He wasn’t harmed during the process, and he’s now healing well.

Moments like these are exactly why I started Golden Paws. Helping pets find relief and improving their quality of life is the most rewarding part of my job. ❤️🐾

I actually started out as a nail trim–only company. Over time, I perfected my nail work and thought the next step was becoming a full groomer.

I went to grooming school and even did trial days with my parents, who are full-time dog groomers. Through all of that, I learned something important about myself: full grooming just isn’t for me.

What is for me?
The fast pace of nail trims. The focus. The one-on-one attention. Helping dogs feel more comfortable and confident without putting them through an all-day grooming appointment.

I also love that I’m able to offer a service that no other company in the Treasure Valley offers—a specialized, nail-focused experience designed specifically for dogs who need efficiency, patience, and skill.

Choosing nails only wasn’t a step back.
It was choosing what I do best—and what dogs respond to best. 🐶✨
