I’m not a natural rider.
A lot of this doesn’t come easily to me, and I haven’t had every opportunity I’ve wanted. But I take every chance I can to learn—whether that’s a lesson, a clinic, or a ride on a new horse.
Even when it doesn’t look good. Even when I feel stuck.
I keep showing up because every ride teaches me something.
And honestly, I think that’s what makes me a better instructor. I understand what it’s like to struggle, to work hard for every bit of progress, and to keep learning anyway. It helps me connect with our English Foundations riders because I know what it feels like when things don’t come naturally. I know how much courage it takes to keep trying, keep learning, and keep showing up anyway.
You don’t have to be naturally talented to become a better rider. You just have to keep showing up.
