Well 2 weeks goes by fast when you enjoy the time you share with the life’s of such amazing animals. Tigger and Joy went home today as better versions of themselves. Joy still has a way to go to not view everything new as a threat. After spending time with your loving family I am sure that they will continue to instill greater confidence in her and take her on many more adventures.

What’s in a name. I can’t help but be reminded with Joy and her name. Joy was one of the sweetest dogs I have ever encountered. She reminded me everyday of a dear friends mother who was very kind to me during my younger years when she probably shouldn’t have been. Her name was also Joy and hopefully she is looking down knowing that she is not forgotten.

Tigger and Joy - I am so thankful that you 2 will be my neighbors soon and I can keep up to date on your progress!

Welcome Winter to the Ridgeside family. Winter is very timid and unsure what she is getting into so for now we sit together till she warms up. She was supposed to be here with her pack mate Penny but in their most recent fight last week Winter sent Penny to the emergency vet where she required immediate surgery. So now Penny sits at home in rehab while Winter starts her reform. We are adjusting the training regime for these two to give Penny that chance to recover. 4 weeks from now, I will pick up Penny, work with her for a week and then bring Winter back to finish off the training. I’m afraid this is their last chance to get along or their humans can’t continue to break up dog fights. Wish them both luck that we can give their humans the ability to get this under control.

A client sent me this video the day after we did a turnover for Mr. Lucky. I impacted numerous people, have seen a lot in my years of public service and my mental closet has it's share of ghosts because of it. Seeing this gives me such a case of the 'feels' that it's almost like therapy. It is an honor see a dog parent brag on their dog like this.
