💔 A Heartbreaking Update 💔
Yesterday was one of the hardest days we’ve faced in rescue.
As many of you know, Frenchie Mama came to us in rough shape and had to undergo an emergency C-section. Out of the litter, only two tiny pups survived—and now, heartbreakingly, we’ve lost one of them. The tiniest boy didn’t make it.
This little one held a special place in our hearts. My son had chosen him as "his" to care for—he’s been asking me for so long to save itty-bitty puppies, and this felt like his chance. But instead of joy, he was faced with the cruel reality of rescue: sometimes, love just isn’t enough to save them.
We gave this little pup a proper burial and planted a tree in his memory. My son broke down. Through tears, he kept asking me why. Why did this happen? Why couldn’t we save him?
And honestly—I ask the same thing, but to the world:
Why are these lives treated like they don’t matter?
Why are irresponsible breeders and owners allowed to keep doing this while we pick up the pieces?
Why do these innocent souls pay the price while we suffer the heartbreak?
Rescue is love, but it’s also loss. It's showing up, even when it hurts. Especially when it hurts.
Rest in peace, sweet boy. You were loved deeply, even if only for a short time. We’ll keep fighting for the ones like you—until they all have a chance.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support this mission. Your love carries us through the darkest days.🌈
