Life Update, bare with me while I type this.

This is not an easy post to write — I’m not someone who usually asks for help. Four weeks ago, I had surgery to remove tumors from my hip at MD Anderson. Recovery has been rough, and while many people said they’d be there to help, most have slowly faded away. It hurts to admit that — being “ghosted” when you’re at your most vulnerable is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, it sucks.

But while people’s help may stop showing up… the bills don’t. They keep rolling in.

I did get some good news at my recheck — the surgeons got clear margins on my hip, and I’m so thankful for that. But my CT scan also showed possible growths on my spine, so we’re now monitoring that closely. It’s overwhelming, and I’m doing my best to stay hopeful and keep moving forward, even on the hard days.

I know it’s a busy, expensive time of year with the holidays coming up, but if you can find it in your heart to help — truly, every dollar helps. I’ve always been someone who gives and helps others, but right now, I’m the one who needs a little help and grace.

It’s Monday morning, and while most people are easing into a new week… rescue doesn't stop.

Even as I'm currently on bed rest recovering from surgery to remove tumors, the work doesn’t pause — because their lives don’t pause. 💔🐾

Crazy? Maybe. But if you know rescue, you know it’s full-speed even when you're at your weakest.

A huge thank you to my amazing husband for stepping up and handling the chaos while I physically can’t — feeding, cleaning, medicating, loving, coordinating… doing all the things for the animals we save. 🙏💪

Happy Friday friends.

As I prep for surgery on Oct 8th, I ask for your help.
The surgery to remove the tumor from my hip is going to be the most intense one I’ve ever had.
It’s been 6 years since my last tumor, I genuinely believed I was done with this.

Currently to get around Im using a walker. Most days I dont leave my bed due to the pain.

My best friend started a fundraiser for me. The medical bills are piling up. Yes we have insurance, but they don’t cover 100%. On top of medical bills, gas, hotel stays, and time off.

This is a really stressful time for me. I ask humbly that on this $5 Friday that you would help me.

I am the first to step up for animals and people. Today I ask that someone steps up for me.

This is not the easiest post to make… usually i am asking for help for animals. Today I ask for help personally.

I’ve debated sharing this, especially with everything happening in the world right now…�But my reality doesn’t stop, even when the world feels like it’s falling apart.

My bone tumors have returned. This time in my hip. Im pretty much spending my days in bed until surgery. It’s hard to put into words what that means—the fear, the pain, the uncertainty. I’ve been here before, but that doesn’t make this any easier. This time, I’ve had to start a medical fundraiser just to manage what’s ahead.

I’ve started traveling to MD Anderson—2.5 hours each way—for testing, consults, and care. Every trip brings hotel costs, gas, food, time off, and stress. And this is just the beginning. The bills are already piling up, and I’m scared. I’m scared of what’s ahead—not just medically, but financially. I hate asking, but I need your help.

I know attention is stretched thin right now, and I understand if this isn’t something you can engage with. But if you’re able to help—by donating, sharing, or simply holding space for what I’m going through—it would mean more than I can express.

Update on Momma Frenchie, Now named Lilly and her surving baby, named Rose.

Lilly had her stitches removed yesterday and is doing amazing. She is such a happy girl and a tries to be a good Momma. She is definitely over being a Mom, good news is she will never have to be again!

Rose is still being bottle fed every 4 hours on top of what she can get nursing. Her eyes are not open yet. She is gaining good weight and has a great appetite!

Willie is so happy that he gets to love on her and see her grow. He tells me everyday that she’s bigger! I do love teaching my children that animals do matter. That we are their voice. Although sometimes he tells me to pick up cows or whatever animals he sees 😆.

I paid off Lilly’s bill yesterday. There was a balance of $1900 left at the vet. I didn’t realize the bill for the c-section was so high. So I appreciate everyone who donated! If you would like to donate to the on going care of this family please do so!
