I’m not just building an oasis…
I’m building memories that will outlive me. 💛

Dreams don’t build themselves.
But they grow… when you plant them.

🥚✨ New Eggs in the Incubator! ✨🥚

There’s something so exciting about loading a fresh batch of eggs into the incubator…

This round, we’re working on some fun color layers and strengthening our heavy bloom genetics. 💙💚🤎

If you’ve ever seen one of those super matte, almost dusty-looking eggs, that’s bloom. It’s the natural protective coating (called the cuticle) that hens put on eggs right before they lay them. And when you combine strong color genetics with heavy bloom?

You get MAGIC.

Think:
🌿 Soft sage greens
🩵 Bright sky blues
🤎 Deep chocolate browns
🌸 Blush-pink tones with a frosty finish

Our goal isn’t just pretty eggs, it’s strong, healthy hens that lay consistently, have good temperaments, and produce those dreamy baskets everyone stops to stare at.

Incubation is 21 days of patience… temperature checks, humidity balance, turning schedules, and a whole lot of anticipation.
Now we wait.

If all goes well, we’ll have fluffy little future color-makers hatching soon. 🐣✨

What’s your favorite egg color, deep chocolate or bright blue?

🌱 Oklahoma Gardeners – Don’t Sleep on February! 🌱

It may look cold and quiet outside, but February is actually one of the most important months in the garden here in Oklahoma.

If you want a successful spring, here’s what you should be doing right now:

🌿 Plant Cool-Season Crops
Spinach, lettuce, onions, carrots, peas, broccoli, and cabbage can all go in the ground this month (weather permitting). They LOVE our cool Oklahoma temps.

✂️ Prune Trees & Shrubs
Now is the time to prune fruit trees, roses (late Feb), and dormant shrubs before new growth starts. Proper pruning = healthier plants and better blooms.

🌾 Apply Pre-Emergent
If you use pre-emergent in your yard, February is key. Apply pre-emergent before soil temps consistently reach 55°F.

🌻 Start Seeds Indoors
Tomatoes, peppers, and herbs can be started inside now so they’re strong and ready for transplant after our last frost.

🐝 Prepare for Pollinators
Clean out old beds, plan flower areas, and consider adding native plants. Oklahoma bees will thank you!

February is not a “waiting month.” It’s a preparing month. And preparation is what separates a struggling garden from a thriving one.

If you’ve been itching to get your hands in the dirt… this is your sign. 🌱💚

What are you planting this month?

✨ It’s the little things in life that make it truly enjoyable ✨

Today mine came from walking into the coop and realizing my coffee egger rooster has officially transformed… into a presidential lookalike! 🐓😂

You see, I was originally so disappointed when my beloved Naked Neck “Matilda” turned out to be a rooster instead of the hen I’d hoped for. But the egg he hatched from was stunning, and his personality completely won me over, so I decided to keep him anyway.

Fast forward to now, Matilda’s snowy white feathers started turning bright yellow… and suddenly he looked like President Donald Trump. 💛💨

So meet Donald Cluck, our feathered, farmyard version of Trump. From the coop to the campaign trail (of memes), he’s already keeping us entertained nonstop here at The Bearded Coyote Ranch. 🇺🇸🐔

👉 We support Trump around here so much, we ended up with a rooster lookalike! 😂
👉 No offense meant, it’s all in good fun.
👉 Be on the lookout for memes, pictures, and videos of Donald Cluck as he takes his “coop-paign” nationwide.

Because sometimes… joy really does come from the silliest, smallest surprises. ❤️

Trying to get work done with Magnolia the Mischievous around is always an adventure! 🐾 After a full day of chasing chickens and swimming with the ducks, she finally crashed… right in my arms while I’m at the computer. 💻💤 Life on the farm is never boring with this girl! 🐶❤️
