What are some common misconceptions of crate training?

Negative thoughts include that the crate is used as a punisher, I want my dog to be with me, a dog should have free range, I won’t go anywhere why do I need this!

These misconceptions can result in lasting effects on your dog!
Crate training is a great way to give you a dog safe space that they know is theirs.

The canine duo of Chikala and Chante proved to be quite enjoyable companions. At first, Chikala had a tendency to pull on her leash, but with some guidance, she readily adapted to proper heeling techniques. Chante, though initially timid around people, demonstrated notable improvement in confidence levels after undergoing training and socialization exercises! 💙

Dogs Choice is now accepting new clients for our Board and Train Program. If your dog requires structured training, basic obedience, or has developed undesirable behaviors, this program is an effective way to address all of your training needs. Additionally, this program is ideal for young puppies as we can instill positive behaviors before they develop negative ones. The program involves your dog staying with us for two weeks and receiving multiple hours of training each day. You will receive regular video updates, and upon completion of the program, we will meet with you to review your dog's progress and provide guidance on how to continue training in a way that ensures success for both you and your dog.

Rip's training was transformative! He has shown tremendous improvement! Our Lowes visit was a great opportunity to practice self-control among various distractions.

Meet Rip, the superstar of our first board and train program at this location! This 5-month-old good boy is crushing it with his 'Place' training, learning to stay focused amidst distractions!

Place teaches the dog how to stay calm and focus on that one basic thing. Staying on that place board! We can add in distractions of all sorts once they know what their job is!

Dogs Choice is excited to announce that we will be starting up our Board and Train Program!

If you have a dog who needs structured training, basic obedience, or has some trouble behaviors, this program is a great way to cover all of your training needs. This program is also great for young puppies as we can teach all the right behaviors before a puppy picks up bad behaviors.

Board and Train means your dog stays with us for two weeks and receives multiple hours of training daily. You will receive video updates, and at the end of the program we will meet and teach you what your dog has learned and how to continue training in a way that you and your dog can be successful.
