We babysat little Marie, formerly Jenny, for a few days last week. She’s the most adorable, tiny little thing! Kiska and Denali loved all the puppy play and Marie did, too! She’s been playing with cats since she went home at 8 weeks old, so she had to remember how to play with dogs. She figured out how to play one on one with either dog but when all three tried to roughhouse, that was a little much for her. Given a few more days and she’d have loved that, too.

For anyone who might ever wonder… “So… what if I have cats???” I say yes! Marie, formerly Jenny, loves playing with their kitty. Apparently they were chasing each other around a tree just a few minutes before this!

Noble, formerly Bubba, got his first haircut!!!! Doesn’t he look handsome?!!? These babies are growing up so fast!

Try this with your puppies! Next time I have a litter I’ll do this with them! It’s just a bowl that was used to mix up peanut butter. But it’s squirrelly, moves easily and makes noise so it’s a little scary. But the smell is very enticing. I bet puppies would get over it pretty quickly and build confidence with this activity!

We had a little play date here for Watson (Forrest) and Noble (Bubba), yesterday. Can’t believe they’re almost as big as Denali! In another month they might be bigger than she is!!!!

Look what Noble, aka Bubba, learned to do!!! Now he lets himself in and out as he needs to, to go potty! He just got this last week but I think they could have gone straight to this at eight weeks old. Infact, if they weren’t born in wintertime and the hazards of them potentially not getting back inside. I could have potty trained them this way from the beginning. Someday I’d like to do one using the doggie door but with our winters they’d have to be born at just the right time with all pleasant weather for me to feel comfortable trying it. If id known what our weather this time was going to be this would have been a great time to do it but one never knows when it’s going to be a non- winter!
