Saturday reminder 🐾

Training weeks don’t always look neat.
Some days are messy, loud, or short — and that’s okay.
Progress isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up again.
Even rest days count.

Fun Fact Friday 🐾

Dogs don’t actually need more commands to improve — they need more opportunities to feel successful.

Noticing and reinforcing the small moments (pausing, choosing calm, checking in) builds confidence faster than drilling skills ever will.

Progress grows where safety and clarity live. Those moments matter more than we realize.

Meet Penny!

Penny is currently enrolled in my Puppy Class, and she’s learning right alongside her human siblings. šŸ’›

With three younger kids in the house, there’s a lot happening — but we’re focusing on helping everyone learn together. That means building calm routines, practicing safe interactions, and giving Penny the skills she needs to succeed in a busy, loving home.

It’s not always quiet, but it is thoughtful — and the progress so far has been really encouraging to watch.

Midweek reminder 🐾

If training feels harder this week, it doesn’t mean you’re going backward.

Stress, routine changes, weather, and life all affect behavior — for dogs and humans.

Keep showing up. Consistency matters more than perfection.

Enrichment Tuesday 🐾

Try this tonight:
give your dog a choice — a chew, a toy, or a quiet spot to settle.

Choice builds confidence and helps dogs regulate themselves after busy days.

Keep it easy — you don’t need to engage. Let them decide how to unwind.

I did the things! And I didn’t even throw up! šŸŽ‰šŸ˜…

Big thanks to everyone who cheered me on today—being on TV was equal parts exciting and terrifying… but I’m so happy I got to share what I love most: helping dogs AND their people šŸ¾šŸ’™

Today’s the day! 🐾

I’ll be on Quad City Live this afternoon, chatting with Morgan Ottier about dog training, working with real families, and helping both dogs and their people feel more confident together.

I’ll be on sometime between 3:00–3:30 PM — if you’re able to tune in, I’d love for you to watch šŸ’›

Good morning 🐶

This week, pick one behavior you want to notice more — calm settling, checking in, or pausing before movement.

The more often it’s noticed (and rewarded), the more often it shows up.

Let’s chat šŸ’›

As we head into a new week, what’s one thing that’s been going well with your dog lately — even if it feels small?

Sometimes noticing what’s working helps guide what comes next.

Weekend reminder šŸ’›

Training doesn’t have to be structured every day.
Calm moments, shared space, and just being together all count too.
