Did you know that pavement can reach 125 degrees in summer time? That’s plenty hot enough to burn paw pads. Here are some tips to keep your pup's paws safe:

1. The 5 second test. Place the back of your hand on the pavement. If it’s too hot after 5 seconds, it’s too hot for your pup.

2. Schedule your walks for early mornings or after sunset.

3. Stick to grass, dirt paths, or shaded areas wherever possible.

4. Check paws after walks for redness, cracks or burns.

5. Add the nourishing paw pad balm to your next mobile grooming appointment!
