Openings available May 1. Located in Berryville Va, Looking Glass Acres has room available for your friend to live their best retirement! Several packages available to meet the needs of your horse and your wishes. We also offer customized options to make sure each horse has the care they need. The goal at Looking Glass Acres is to take the worry out of retirement for your horse. Owned and operated by Jennifer Simmons who has 30+ years experience in barn management, horse training, competing, rescue and care, you never have to worry about your horse not being cared for and looked after. Message us for more information. Prices range from $300-$550/month depending on level of care.
ALL HORSES WILL RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING -
-24 turnout in compatible groups with access to shelter
-Thorough check twice daily for injuries and illness
-Free choice hay as needed in winter months
-De-worming as recommended by vet
-Annual vaccinations (horses must be boarded for 6 months before receiving vaccinations included in board fee)
-Annual teeth floating
-Holding for regular vet and farrier visits
FULL CARE RETIREMENT FIELD BOARD : $550/ month
-Pictures taken upon arrival and emailed to owner
-Monthly updates including pictures
-Quality senior feed as needed
-Blanketing in winter as needed (blankets provided by owner)
-Fly masks in summer if requested by owner
-Maintenance medications and supplements as requested by owner (provided by owner)
-Hooves trimmed as needed up to 5 times/year
-Grooming twice per month
RETIREMENT FIELD BOARD: $400/ month
-Pictures taken upon arrival and emailed to owner
-Monthly updates including pictures
-Blanketing in winter as needed (blankets provided by owner)
-Fly masks in summer if requested by owner
-Hooves trimmed as needed up to 4 times/year
BASIC CARE BOARD: $300/ Month
-Hooves trimmed 2 times/year
Additional services are available including use of a stall, scheduling and holding for non-routine vet and farrier visits and additional grooming. Fees will be in addition to the monthly board fee.
