Meet Cocoa. 🍫🐾

This 4-month-old Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix is 27 pounds of sweet, curious, and completely irresistible.

Cocoa is the puppy who walks beautifully on leash, gets along with dogs, cats, and kids, and greets everyone like they’re his new best friend. He’s got that rare combination of calm and playful — equally happy exploring the world by your side or melting into you for a good belly rub.

And yes, he does zoomies. The cutest zoomies. 🐾

If you’re looking for a puppy with a gentle soul, a happy spirit, and a face you’ll never get tired of — Cocoa might just be your guy.

Meet Sangria. 🍷✨
You may recognize her — this girl made her national TV debut on Live with Kelly & Mark and absolutely stole the show. (She also made a little unscheduled deposit on live television, and honestly? We respect the commitment.)

Sangria is a 6.5-month-old Shepherd mix with 38 pounds of pure fun and sweetness. Those ears alone will stop you mid-scroll — they meet at a point on top of her head and give her the most endearingly goofy look you’ve ever seen.

She’s playful, affectionate, and genuinely hilarious. She loves toys, fetch, and romping with her dog friends — and when playtime is over, she’s happiest curled up right next to you soaking up every bit of love you’ll give her.

Sangria is the kind of dog who fills a home with laughter and warmth. Could that home home be yours? 🍷

20 dogs found their forever families last week. 🐾🤍
We are still processing that number. Twenty dogs who came through Home for Good Dog Rescue and found their people — in a single week. That does not happen without this community. It does not happen without every person who shared a post, submitted an application, opened their home as a foster, or simply showed up for these dogs in whatever way they could.

Meet Cider. 🐶
This 4-month-old Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix is 27 pounds of pure personality — and he is exactly what your home has been missing.

Cider is the puppy who zooms through the yard like he’s late for something important, then melts into your lap the second the fun winds down. He loves toys, squeaky things, and has a goofy, expressive personality that makes him the star of every room he walks into.

He walks well on leash, loves meeting new people, and gets along beautifully with kids, cats, and other dogs. Social, affectionate, and just the right amount of sassy — he’s the whole package.

This Sunday is going to be a good one. 🐾

The Essex Horse Trials at Moorland Farm in Far Hills is one of the best one-day events in the country — an equestrian triathlon of dressage, show jumping, and cross-country spread across 200 breathtaking acres.  It’s a full day out in the country and the kind of place where great things happen.

This year Home for Good Dog Rescue will be there — with a select group of adoptable dogs, HFGDR merchandise, and our amazing volunteers on hand to answer anything you want to know about adopting, fostering, or getting involved.

Whether you came for the horses or the dogs, we think you’ll leave with your heart full either way.

Meet Tucker. 🐾

This 11-month-old Lab/Hound mix is 28 pounds of sweetness still coming into his own. Tucker is the kind of dog who takes his time — but once he’s comfortable, he is all in. He’s already figured out that he loves cuddles, and he’s making great strides on the leash and warming up to toys every single day.

He absolutely thrives with other dogs around. A playful canine housemate brings out the best in him — his confidence, his curiosity, his silly side. He’s also good with cats and does well with older children.

Tucker is still just a puppy with so much road ahead of him. The right home will watch him blossom into something really special.

Have you ever seen eyes like these? 🩵

Meet Sophie — a 1.5-year-old Husky with icy blue eyes, a cloud-soft coat, and a heart to match. At 42 pounds she is the perfect size for a dog with this much personality.

Sophie is expressive, affectionate, and genuinely fun to be around. She loves other dogs, treasures her toys, and has a sweet, gentle way of checking in with the people she loves. She’s housebroken, well-mannered at home, and greets everyone she meets with warmth and grace.

She came to us as a mama, raised her whole litter with love, and now it’s finally her turn. Sophie is ready to be someone’s whole world. 🐾

If you need a little joy today, meet Kenzie. 🐾

This 5-month-old Golden Retriever/Lab mix is 21 pounds of pure, unfiltered happiness. She walks into a room and immediately sets about making friends with absolutely everyone in it. Her tail has never once stopped wagging. Her smile is permanent. Her enthusiasm for life is, honestly, a little bit inspirational.

Kenzie loves playing with other dogs, has that perfectly goofy puppy energy that makes every playgroup better, and treats toys like they are her full-time job — squeakers, balls, kongs, she is ready to turn anything into a game. And when the zoomies are done? She’s all snuggles.

She’s looking for a family ready to laugh at her antics, guide her as she grows, and spoil her absolutely rotten.

We have a feeling she won’t be waiting long. 🐾
