One dog at Home for Good Dog Rescue has been waiting 325 days for a home.
His name is Tucker. And he's not alone.
Laura, Bud, Rufus, and River (and Ray) have been waiting too — collectively, these five dogs have spent over 1,480 days in foster care waiting for someone to choose them.
They are not difficult. They are not forgotten. They are just still here.
If you've ever thought about adopting, these are the five dogs we need you to see right now. Swipe through and share — the right person is out there. Help us find them.

Sabrina is 2 months old and she is everything a puppy should be — soft, sweet, and completely devoted to her people. She plays, she cuddles, and she will follow you from room to room just to be close.

She is pure puppy magic and she is looking for her family.

Sabrina is part of our S Litter — a group of puppies just as sweet as she is. Meet them all at HomeForGoodDogs.org

Reba has never met a stranger in her life. 💕

She is 5 years old, 77 pounds, and somehow the friendliest soul in any room she walks into. A Great Pyrenees/Bernese Mountain Dog mix with a soft tri-colored coat, bright happy eyes, and a wagging tail that has never once taken a day off.

She loves kids, does beautifully with cats, and brings a calm, warm presence that makes everyone around her feel at ease. Reba is the kind of dog who makes a house feel fuller just by being in it.

She is ready to be someone’s whole world — and she would love to be the only dog in your home so she can be just that.

If you have been looking for a gentle, joyful companion who will make every single day a little brighter — Reba is here.

❤️‍🩹 This puppy’s ears had to be surgically repaired. Because someone thought tying them in ponytails was cute.

By the time Rose came to us her ears needed immediate medical attention. Our vet had to remove part of them. She was six months old.

Her ears will never look the same. She wears them like the badge they are.

And despite all of it — this girl has not stopped giving kisses to every single person she meets. Dogs, cats, kids, car rides, pool splashes, pup cups. Rose loves all of it.

She is ready for the life she deserves. If that’s with you, it starts at HomeForGoodDogs.org

❤️‍🩹 Her ears will never look the same.

When Rose came to us, her ears had been tied in ponytails — left that way long enough to cut off circulation. By the time rescue stepped in, the damage was done. Our vet had to surgically remove part of them.

She was six months old.

Her ears healed. They look a little different now. She wears them perfectly.

And despite everything this little girl has been through — Rose is nothing but love. She adores everyone she meets. People, dogs, cats, kids. She lives for car rides, pool days, and a pup cup whenever she can get one.

She came to us broken in one small way.

She left that part behind completely.

If you haven’t seen her story yet, watch our Reel — her ears, her face, and the moment she gives kisses to her volunteer say everything words can’t.

Rose is six and a half months old, fully vetted, and ready for the life she always deserved. Could that be with you?

🐾There’s a question we’ve been asking our fosters lately:

What’s your favorite part?

One foster’s answer has been living rent-free in our heads ever since: “My favorite part of fostering is seeing my family’s reactions and interactions with the dogs. Whatever you can provide for the dog will bring him or her so much joy. Their happiness and the pup’s joy will feed your heart.” 💙🐾

That’s it. That’s the whole thing.

If you’ve been on the fence about fostering, our A Home for Now program just got even more accessible. It’s free. It’s flexible. And not sure where to start? Our team walks you through everything — training, onboarding, and real support from people who’ve been doing this a long time. You won’t be doing this alone.
