It is with a very heavy heart that we must let Weather Dog fans and friends know that she passed over to the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon.

We adopted her from Animal Aid (a local non-profit animal rescue) over 13 years ago as a very fuzzy puppy and little did we know what a feisty little puppy she was going to be.

She had a mind of her own and had selective hearing when it suited her. She was a great squirrel chaser in her younger days to the point of pulling a tendon in her back leg that required surgery.

She was one of the furriest dogs we have ever known and would always get compliments on what a pretty dog she was.

It's really hard to sum up your dog's life when it comes down to it and what they have meant to you all these years, and how fast those years have flown by.

We want to thank you for being a friend and or fan of this page and of Missy the Weather Dog. She will be greatly missed by us.

Even with her haircut, the snow (Yes snow on April 8th) was sticking to Weather Dog's fur.

Let Weather Dog in a bit ago and from the looks of it, it's snowing pretty heavily. And while Weather Dog can't predict school closings, she hopes that her friend Gretchen gets her wish and a snow day tomorrow.

Weather Dog went for a walk today and her mom found it to be a bit brisk out but WD didn't seem to mind one bit.
