UPDATE 1/24-2.0: Betty saw the vet today. She was given subcutaneous fluids, labs were slightly elevated, is heartworm negative, and her vitals are good for her condition. Her ear cytology was negative for mites, and we were given instructions on how to work her through PT, and will recheck in two weeks, unless we have reason to take her in sooner. IN NEED OF: daycare sitters to keep a close eye on Betty while her foster is at work, to help in her healing journey. If you or anyone you know could help provide supports in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you again to this entire community and for putting your best foot forward for this girl who needs and deserves so much love!💕 (Will give more updates periodically moving forward.)
UPDATE 1/24: Betty has an appointment at Bend Vet Clinic on Quimby today at 2:30pm if anyone would like to donate towards her medical treatment. She is in brighter spirits today, but we are still unsure of her future and immediate forward path. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE EHO HAS DONATED SO FAR, AND CONTINUED TO FOLLOW HER STORY. We cannot thank you enough!❤️🩹🙏
UPDATE: Betty has made it back to central Oregon and will be heading to the emergency vet here in Bend tomorrow morning, 1/24. Her spirits have slightly lifted today, and her foster took her to watch the river for a little bit today before leaving Portland. Added photos below of updates on her condition. It is not good at this time.
UPDATE: Betty was released from the hospital and is stable for now. She’s been having digestive upset as to be expected, and I will give another update later today. For now, she is resting in the warmth and under the direct care and supervision of her current foster. Please send her some good healing energy on her journey.❤️🩹 UPDATE: Betty is at DoveLewis in PDX now. She was not doing well and had to be taken back on a gurney. Updates to follow, stay tuned. Please share and donate if you can.
💔 URGENT: Betty Needs Help NOW 💔
Earlier today, we pulled this XL pit bull mix from living in a garage. What we found was heartbreaking.
She is severely underweight, weak, and clearly has been neglected for a long time. While she is incredibly sweet and gentle, it’s painfully obvious that she’s almost lost the will to live. Right now, she’s exhausted — physically and emotionally — and she needs immediate support to give her a chance at recovery.
This girl didn’t deserve what she’s been through. She deserved warmth, food, kindness, and love. Instead, she was left to fade away.
Now it’s our turn to show her that people can be better.
She will need:
• Emergency vet care, today if possible
• Nutritional support and refeeding
• Ongoing medical evaluation
• Time, patience, and love
We cannot do this alone.
If you’re able to donate, anything helps — truly. Even small amounts add up and directly impact her chance to heal.

If you can’t donate, please share. Visibility saves lives.
She is safe now — but safety is just the first step. Let’s help her find the strength to keep going. 🤍
Thank you for caring. Thank you for showing up when it matters most.❤️🩹ynorma krktt
