Great team and role model for the next generation! Congratulations Tricia & Adios Pantalones! 🎁
Social Media Is a Wild Place
The NFR and the futurities always seem to bring out its true colors. Add a fatal equine virus outbreak to the mix and suddenly you are not just scrolling anymore. You are stepping straight into the jungle.
The truth is, social media is usually a highlight reel. Perfect runs. Perfect horses. Perfect timing. Perfect outcomes. But real life in the western industry is anything but perfect.
That is why the platform Tricia has built with Adios has gone viral. It is as close to real as we have ever seen. She shares the struggles. She shares the cost and the sacrifice required for long term goals. She speaks boldly about dreams, fully aware of how relentless critics can be. She talks business. She talks personal battles. She shares the good, the bad, and the ugly.
The injuries.
The challenges.
The setbacks.
The triumphs.
All of it.
It is the storyline our industry desperately needs. One that shows the raw reality of what big dreams actually cost and what they can reward you with. One that reveals the human side of chasing excellence and the adversity that comes with overcoming mistakes, misfortune, and battles no one ever sees.
This is not a highlight reel.
Tricia has created an online diary.
And in doing so, she has challenged the western industry to be better and do better.
One of the most powerful messages Tricia consistently emphasizes is the importance of building the right team. Surrounding yourself with people who speak life into you. Strategically placing individuals around you who genuinely want to see you succeed. People who encourage growth, hold you accountable, and protect the vision when things get hard.
She also speaks openly about guarding what you allow into your mind, body, and spirit. Curating a social media feed that inspires, educates, and encourages rather than one that drains, discourages, or distracts. Eliminating noise that steals focus or confidence is not weakness. It is wisdom.
Equally important is her reminder that we all start somewhere. Every professional, every champion, every success story began as a beginner. Instead of tearing others down, she challenges this industry to offer a hand, share knowledge, and help the next person forward. Growth multiplies when we choose encouragement over comparison.
Her outlook remains positive, even when the pressure is heavy. An attitude of gratitude is a powerful place to live, especially in an industry that demands everything from you. It is almost as if the pressure of the moment becomes irrelevant, because for her it is not about the money. It is about the journey.
That level of confidence in your path, your preparation, and your purpose breeds success where most people break.
There is a quote floating around where she said, “God does not have a budget. Ask for everything.”
And she is absolutely right.
The truth is, the game we play is not easy. And none of us are perfect. God does not give us big dreams with the promise that there will be no challenges. But He does promise that if you trust Him and allow Him to deliver on His timing and according to His plan, the outcome will be better than anything you could have imagined on your own.
As a mom with a daughter chasing big dreams in this industry, I am deeply grateful for women like Tricia who pave their own way and show the next generation what is possible when faith, work ethic, and belief align.
There is no surprise that Tricia and Adios have accomplished what they have. They put in the work. They guarded their hearts. And they relentlessly believed in the dream God planted in her heart.
Now on to the Million Red Hot Barrel Horses + Adios Pantalones…. Let’s do this!
