Coming soon: Jarls of Skyrim

13 gorgeous male betta will be available on my aquabid as soon as next week. Pictures will be available within the next day or two as soon as they have all settled in.

*Note: I did NOT breed these, they came from a store that is shutting down but I would love to find them all homes

Got some new food for the betta, I was using Hikari Betta Gold but with 7 fish I was going through the food rather quickly. Got a new food to try that is sold in larger quantities and everyone seems to be on board with the new flakes. Yay to saving money and still provide my babies with proper nutrition!

Finally set up the ramshorn and live plants 10 gallon. Hopefully will be getting shrimp as well for this tank.

Ramshorn Snails Deserve More Love 🐌💚

Let’s talk about one of the most underrated little helpers in the aquarium world: ramshorn snails. I seriously love these guys.

They’re nature’s tiny custodians—constantly cleaning up tanks by munching on decaying plant matter. No, they don’t bother your fish. No, they’re not out to destroy your plants (unless the plant's already half-dead anyway). They just quietly do their job and look cute doing it.

I really wish people would stop labeling them as "pest snails." Sure, they reproduce like it’s their full-time job—but even that has benefits! Got ducks or chickens? Ramshorns make for a great protein-packed snack.

So here’s to the humble Ramshorn snail: misunderstood, underappreciated, but totally essential.
