Hello everyone! I apologize for the length of time between posts. I feel the obligation to all of you to touch base regarding my last post. Things with 1 of my two EMS jobs could potentially be changing. Currently, I am part-time at both, but could go full-time at one of them, and that will drastically affect my availability for providing services. With one place, I could go to 12 hour shifts at what they consider a 2-2-3 rotation, meaning, two 12 hour shifts on, two off, then three 12 hour shifts on, back into 2 off, 2 on and so forth. With the other it would be a 24/48 schedule, meaning, a 24 hour shift then off 48 hours, rinse and repeat. I am also very close to finishing my Advanced EMT classes, which has been a huge chunk of my time as well. I've done my best with that and 2 part-time positions on my plate, to try to accommodate requests.
I'm more apt to be able to still do some sitting with 12 hour shifts, however, that depends on whether a client is comfortable with me being gone 12 hours. For most, it's not feasible, and I completely understand that concern.
With that all being said, the 2 factors of what my shifts end up being, and whether or not clients are comfortable with the 12 hour shifts,or a little less availability with the 24/48. The 24/48 shifts will make things more difficult, and may end up completely phasing out my services, more so overnights than drop-ins. It absolutely breaks my heart because I've put 10 years into building relationships with all of you, and you have been nothing less than supportive all that time. However, it will also put myself in a better life and financial position advancing myself in this career path wherever that may be. Again, I'm uncertain what the end result will be, but I will check back when I know for certain. My hopes are truly for the place I've put 14 years of service into and consider "home", and that's the 24/48 position.
As always, I appreciate ALL of you and your continued trust and support of what I do. Much love ❤️

Hello to all of my friends, who have become an extended family over the last decade. I hope that the holidays have been kind to all of you this far, and unbelievably, another year is coming quickly to a close.
It's been a while since I've posted any updates, and I apologize. Some personal aspects have changed, and I am trying my best to balance those changes, those challenges and still be available.
Since my last post, I have had to take on a second pt EMS position, and in September, started classes to step up to an Advanced EMT, hopefully to further myself in this career. I have, for the most part, been able to still accommodate requests. I am grateful for all of you and your understanding in these changes. I couldn't ask for a better client base, again, that has become an amazing extended family. Most have been understanding that during the care of your babies, if possible, has allowed me the chance to work shifts and/or attend my classes. I have to reiterate that my classes, and now clinical time are currently my priorities. If I am asked to sit, I will ask prior to taking that into consideration if I can work or attend my classes, etc. If for some reason my work/school schedule isn't acceptable, it's most likely I'll have to refrain from taking that request. That said, if I know far enough in advance, I have some control over my work schedule and it's possible that I would not have to schedule work in that time frame, unless it's agreed upon that I am able to work during any overnight stays. School, however, is non-negotiable. This is made clear during any potential bookings. For this, I'm grateful for that understanding. I'm "older" and need to be present in class for retention 😂
At any rate, this is my current situation, and I truly appreciate the understanding whether I can, or can't accept a request. All of you have been accommodating and accepting of these changes. I will continue to make accommodations as I am able. I continue my position as a pet sitter because I love what I do, and am grateful and fortunate for all of you and your trust. So, with that, I hope with the knowledge of my current schedule that I can ask for patience and understanding with that schedule and my ability to accept any requests.
I love and appreciate all of you, your trust and continued support. I've been blessed for certain with all of you. I can't thank you enough.

My very loyal clients and friends,

It's quite possible that I may have to limit and/or alter my availability for service(s) in the very near future. Some unforseen circumstances have come about that will hinder my availability. It's certainly through no choice of my own, and unavoidable. Please bear with me with these changes. I will continue with updates as I get more details over the next several weeks/months. Anything currently scheduled through year end should not change, again, your patience would be greatly appreciated.

As always, I sincerely appreciate all of you and your support over the last 10 years.

Hello friends!

It has been an amazing summer! I have been booked completely in June, July, and August mainly with overnight stays, but a lot of drop-ins as well.
That said, my schedule is fairly open September through the remainder of the year. If you have, or know of any of your friends or family that need a sitter, please feel free to book, and refer people! Your business and referrals are the best compliment you can give, and I appreciate your trust and support! Don't forget, aside from domestic animals, I also care for farm animals, and anything in between.

Advanced requests are always preferred because I do book up quickly, and sometimes, the likelihood of fulfilling last minute requests are slim. I also have an EMS schedule that I have to consider every month.

As a reminder, I do require a 25% non-refundable fee for advanced requests. That 25% will be credited toward your service if that service is not canceled.
Also, with services scheduled over any of the following recognized holidays, that specific day(s) will be charged at 1.5x the service rate for that day. New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.

You all are amazing, your trust and support are important and appreciated! If you are so inclined, go ahead and hit that star button and send some stars!

I hope that you and your fur babies are well and I look forward serving you!

Hi friends!
Update on this upcoming summer availability.
I have some overnight openings in May, as well as drop-in visits.
June, I am completely booked for overnight stays, but I have drop-in visit availability. July, I have very little overnight stays available, but there are plenty of drop-in visits available. After July, availability is extremely open. I do tend to fill up very quickly, so the sooner you contact me, the better!
I hope you and your fur babies are all doing well!

Hello friends!
Spring has been flirting with us, which means it's time to get started with vacation plans!
I have several openings the rest of this month, April and May. I'm nearly booked for June and already have some bookings in July.
I do appreciate scheduling in advance, but please keep in mind that 25% of those booked appointments is required at the time of booking any long-term stays.
I hope everyone has been well, I look forward to caring for your babies!

Good news, finger is on the mend with the pin in, bad news, 5 more weeks in a splint keeping the dip joint straight (first joint), and to get the pip joint (middle joint on the finger) flexible and bending again. It's stiff and unwilling to bend without some manual help.
That being said, I can't work my EMS job due to potential heavy lifting, so I have plenty of time open for pet sitting 🙂

To all of my valued clients.

Please, if there are issues with my fees, or asking for a 25% deposit up front for advanced bookings, please do not schedule. In the past few months, I've had advanced clients book, I've already scheduled my EMS schedule around those, and I am usually unable to schedule other clients for that time period during or after spots are canceled since it's already been tentatively spoken for. This is a business I take very seriously, provide reliably, with the utmost care, or I wouldn't have been doing this the past 9 years. I enjoy it, and value all the relationships ive formed over the years. Communication is important, and when it doesn't go both ways, it creats issues. The 25% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking just for that reason. This request is not unreasonable, nor negotiable. I happily accept and appreciate to be scheduled in advance, but I need the reassurance that those appointments will be kept.

I appreciate all of you. As always, thank you for the trust you place in me with your homes and pets.
There is a link on this page to find my contract. If there are questions, I'm happy to answer those. I'm very easy to work with, but I have unfortunately had to reenforce those terms and set boundaries.

Have a blessed day, and a wonderful Holiday season.

Charla ❤️🐾

Hello everyone!

Just a few things to pass along.

While my services are not going to change, the following terms are effective immediately.

This is in no way meant to punish anyone. I have, however, had to make this change for obvious reasons.

For anyone, mostly new clients that may not be familiar with my policies, past clients that haven't booked in quite some time, or those that may have been lackadaisical with payments. There will be a non-refundable 25% deposit up front on any and all long-term overnight bookings, whether relatively close, or somewhat advanced in scheduling. If the scheduled service is started on the date agreed, the deposit will be applied to the total of the appointment. If the client should leave later than planned or return early, the entire fee for the agreed upon scheduled time is still applicable as it was originally booked. Complete payment is required the first day of service, no exceptions.

As of late, I've had a few instances of advanced bookings that canceled very last minute.

I completely understand people have emergencies or unforseen circumstances, I have as well. That said, with booking in advance, and I appreciate that, I also arrange my EMS schedule, any family time, etc., around those appointments. Last minute cancelations prohibit me from rearranging my schedule or scheduling other clients within that allotted time.

Please also take into consideration that while I am very thorough, careful and considerate in the services I provide, the expectation of my being present in the home 24/7 is not realistic, especially at the below average rates charged. Any additional "chores" outside of caring for your pets is also to be compensated. I believe my time and effort is valuable, as is the care your pets receive, and the trust you place in me.

In perspective, I care for you, your pets, and your home, it's appreciated if the same is respected and reciprocated.

It is required that everyone reads, acknowledges, and signs the forms I provide at the initial meet and greet. Any visit after the free meet and greet that's prior to the beginning of any service, is subject to my regular drop-in fee. Reiterating that my time is not expendable. I am flexible to a point, but not to an advantage.

As always, you are all appreciated and I am blessed for the many relationships I've formed over the years and grateful for the opportunities that I've been given.

Thank you, and your many varieties of pets 🙏 ❤️

Hi friends!
Just a brief synopsis for your information of my availability for the upcoming months.

August is pretty well booked between my EMS schedule and overnight stays, but with the possibility of drop-ins.

September I'm booked the first three weekends, but have plenty of other options during the rest of the month.

October I am booked 3 weeks in row with overnight stays from the 6th-26th. There is a possibility for drop-ins the 6th-11th as I will be local, but the rest of that time period I will not be available. It's too far in advance to know my EMS schedule, but I'm going to assume I will be working a lot the first and last week of that month.

As always, thank youfor your amazing support!
