Monday evening around 4:30 PM, a frantic young woman came rushing into our clinic.

She had just witnessed a cat being hit by a car on a busy freeway. Nearby, the cat’s tiny kitten was huddled against a guardrail, terrified and completely alone.

Without hesitation, this woman stopped, braved the traffic, scooped up the frightened kitten, and started looking for anyone who could help.

Well... she found us.

Dr. Suttle immediately began examining the little nugget for injuries while our staff comforted the incredibly brave woman who had just risked herself to save her.

Meanwhile, this poor woman was already trying to figure out how she was going to rearrange her entire life to take home a kitten she had met approximately twelve minutes earlier.

What she didn’t know was that just a few hours before she walked through our doors, a very important conversation had taken place at Livewell Bellaire.

We had been discussing the CDC.

No, not that CDC.

The Cat Distribution Center.

We were wondering aloud when the CDC might finally recognize that our hospital was clearly eligible for delivery and grace us with the perfect clinic cat.

Apparently, someone filed the paperwork.

Because just a few hours later, this tiny terrified freeway kitten came through our front doors.

And instead of leaving...

she took up a small residency at Livewell Animal Hospital Bellaire.

The Cat Distribution Center works in mysterious ways. 🐈‍⬛✨

Sometimes your clinic cat arrives through a breeder or rescue.

And apparently sometimes she arrives via freeway traffic, a heroic stranger, impeccable timing, and one suspiciously well-timed conversation with the universe.

Welcome to Livewell Bellaire, little one.

It appears the CDC has officially processed our application.
