Update on Rain & Stetson!🤎

Our wonderful vets at Montana Equine came out last week for evaluations. Stetson is now on a careful refeeding plan to help him gain weight safely, and we’re thrilled that both horses tested negative for all health concerns they were screened for! They will receive their vaccines in a couple of weeks during their next vet apt.

Our farrier also gave them both much-needed trims, and they were incredibly well behaved for both the vet and farrier.

We’re so excited to watch these two continue their rehab and hopefully join our herd in just a few weeks!

🚨TRIPLE RESCUE🚨

SPR is working to get three amazing boys out of a TX k!ll pen. One is an underweight broke ranch horse in his mid-late teens, and the other two are just babies- with their whole lives ahead of them🥹

We have two amazing local friends, Kelly & Austin, who have stepped up to take both colts and offer them a safe + loving home, where they can finish growing up and receive proper training. This foundation is absolutely critical for their lifelong well being. K!ll pens are especially dangerous for these young horses as their immune systems have not fully developed.

The paint gelding will come to us and get the TLC and serious farrier care he needs. He’s a good boy who deserves a family of his own.

Please consider donating- we have to transport them up to MT from TX, provide a 30 day quarantine, and immediate vet/ farrier care🤎

Our Montana horse community has always shown up for one another when it matters most. Today, we’re asking you to rally around one of our own.

Our dear friend and riding companion, Becky Hansen, has suffered an unimaginable loss. Her husband tragically passed away in an accident, leaving Becky and their two young children to face this heartbreaking chapter without him.

Just last Saturday, Becky and I spent the day together at the Bridger Poker Ride while her husband Jake spent his day serving others by helping continue the work on their new church, Belgrade Baptist.

Becky is a beloved member of our local horse community in the Bozeman/Belgrade/Amsterdam area, and Jake was born and raised in Dillon, MT. Now is the time for all of us to come together and surround this deserving family with love, prayers, and support.
