Well, it's here. The last market of the year. And Otis' last market. To let you know what a wonderful job Lindsay (Market manager) has done, I just looked at a picture of my first day in 2017. There is no one beside me, although the original lemonade guys were about two stands up and some people across the street. Lindsay is my third market manager and to say she has done a wonderful job is an understatement. Today we have vendors on both sides of the square filling up every space. It truly has been a wonderful gift being a small part of a vision that has blossomed so beautifully. And, you my friends are the reason the market flourishes and OtisDawg has stayed so long. Thank you. Wednesday is an all day market and we are celebrating by giving out apples (have one and keep the doctor away 😁). I will be there rain or shine. Not sure I will be there till 5:00 but I will give it my best shot, so stop in and have a visit. Shakespeare wrote, "Parting is such sweet sorrow," and in this case that saying is true. OtisDawg will miss you. I pray the Lord's grace and peace are with each of you today and in the days ahead. Blessings...🦴🐾

I know, I know, I'm late with this note and I am sorry. Got caught up doing,"stuff," yesterday. Tomorrow is the last Saturday market of the year. It runs from 9:00 am til noon. It will be smaller, more intimate than the Wednesday markets. Nothing fancy and that's the way I like it. And, I should tell you, I sat down with Lindsay, the market manager, on Wednesday and told her that I have decided to retire from the dog treat business. I know I said this last year which was a rather emotional time for me, and then I changed my mind and came back. This time the decision is final. My wife is gone, Otis the dog passed away in July and it is just me. And this truly is a we business and not a me business. The bottom line is (as much as I hate to say it) I am getting older and am having problems keeping up with everything that has to be done behind the scenes. You will never know how much I have enjoyed this whole experience and all the people I have encountered. I told my wife when we started, five years and then we move on. It has been nine years (can you believe that?!!) and we've had a good run, so it is time to move on. Thank you all so much, without you OtisDawg would not have been possible. You blessed my life more than you could possibly know. I will have one more post before Wednesday's market. See you tomorrow. Blessings..🦴🐾

You know these days I hear people saying, Hey man, "preciate you. Or, "say thanks, appreciate you." Or, "That's cool "preciate you." It's almost like appreciation is becoming a throwaway term. Unless...you are a customer at the Bedford Farm Market! The farm market truly does appreciate those who support us. In fact this Wednesday is Customer Appreciation Day and as a way of showing our appreciation the market is giving out $5.00 vouchers to the first 150 people who come (between us I think if more people come they'll come up with some more vouchers.) And yes, OtisDawg is accepting them and, I will have a free treat for any pup that stops by and wants one (or two). A reminder - there are only three markets left. Wednesday and a special Saturday market this week and then next week we will be wrapping up the season. Stay tuned for more information!! God bless...🦴🐾

Good morning, and what a beautiful morning it is!! And it is supposed to be this way all week (although we really need some rain). That means, another nice day for the farm market on Wednesday. And, it is first responders' day and there will be vouchers available for the first one hundred responders who come to the market. Don't forget; the market is beginning to wind down for the year so you may want to start thinking about stocking up. Or not. Anyway, looking forward to seeing all of you this coming Wednesday! I guess I enjoyed the holiday too much and forgot to send out a note.🥳 Sorry. Tomorrow is market day and a beautiful day it is to be. Once again I am smoking bones (yes, I got some in) and have been restocked, pretty much. I don't know about you but, I am looking forward to working tomorrow, hanging with friends and enjoying this weather. Well, we are at that point in the season where things are beginning to wind down. The kids are back in school, things are a little more relaxed, and you can feel autumn just around the corner. Only five more Wednesday markets before the season ends. Just so happens the Labor Day weekend is upon us so, Wednesday will be a good day to stock up on your dog treats for the weekend. Oh, and I guess you can also stock up on the other items you will need to celebrate cheerfully. It is supposed to be a beautiful day and, believe it or not, rather cool, so you may need a wrap of some type. Looking forward to seeing all our friends, so come on out and have a visit. Hi everyone. Well, Saturday's market was surprisingly brisk. That's the good news. Bad news is I have only one large bone left (and I took all the reserves) which means come Wednesday I will have only one large bone and I may move it to the medium size bones. I also sold out of pig ears but will hopefully be able to refill those. Speaking of Wednesday, it is Senior Voucher day (or as I call it Boomer Day!) so come out early and get your vouchers and enjoy the market. Last I saw the rain is supposed to hold off until afternoon. As always I will have an extra chair, so stop on in and set a spell. God Bless..🦴🐾

Here we are again! I'm sorry for those of you who could not make it to the market on Wednesday. It was a gorgeous day for the most part. I got wet, but, hey it wasn't the bone soaking wet I am used too. And to top it off getting wet was the worst thing that happened to me on Wednesday so it truly was a blessed day. Tomorrow we have our monthly Saturday market for those who cannot make it on Wednesdays because of schedules and what not. Market is open from 9:00 till noon so you can come out in the morning, beat the heat and then have the rest of the day to do what you want. Today is a beautiful day to smoke some bones so I better get going to check on them. See you tomorrow!! God Bless...🦴🐾

Been baking constantly since Saturday. Gone through almost 10 pounds of flour. You see there are two markets this week one on Wednesday and another on Saturday (more on that one later this week). You know we tend to have all these special days (youth day, senior day, vets day, parfait day etc.) sometimes it's nice to just have a market day. Which is Wednesday. That's right Wednesday is a regular farm market day. Nothing special, just a day to relax and browse at your leisure. No hustle and bustle just a casual day to come out and visit your favorite vendors at your own pace. So, come on down and visit a spell, pick up some necessities and bring your pup by the booth to say hello. God Bless....🦴🐾

Hello. OtisDawg was at the Dog Days of Summer this past Saturday and we had a blast!! If you couldn't make it you missed a good time. A beautiful day, lots of dog (and cat) vendors, live music and food trucks galore. Ok, well, so much for that. This Wednesday is Youth day at the market. A time to celebrate before going back to school. Yes, there will be vouchers for all kids until they run out. First come first serve. Also lots of activities. And, of course, OtisDawg 😁. Looks like another great day is in store, somewhat cloudy maybe, with highs in the mid 70s. So, come on out enjoy the day, sit a spell and have a visit. Looking forward to seeing everyone! Good morning everyone! Well as expected, Wednesday was a hot one! I didn't quite completely melt, but was well on my way by the time I got home. This Saturday we celebrate the Dog Days of Summer which is (believe it or not) a dog event. And, the weather is supposed to be beautiful. So bring your pup out and join us for a fun time on the square in Bedford. I will try to remember to bring a pocket full of treats to share with my friends. Now, there are some changes that you need to know about. First, the time is from 11:00 to 4:00 and second, OtisDawg will not be in his usual spot. We are being moved to Penn Street, just up from the church. We are between the Humane Society and the Wilderness Search Team (whose dogs are amazing). So come on out and enjoy the activities. I always have an extra chair for those who wish to sit a spell. Blessings to each!!🦴🐾
