We found this guy and another little black and white frenchie i wasn’t able to catch unfortunately running back and fourth across m-30 right across from the shop. No tags or collar so if you recognize him or this is your dog, we have him safe at the shop for you :)

This heat is BRUTAL! Please make sure the fur kids are staying cool, hydrated and sheltered from it too. If it's too much for us it's too much for them. Let's make sure all pets are taken care of, keep an eye out and help a friend in need if you see it. If you have a way to put water out for the wildlife they love and appreciate that too. Thank you all for doing your part in making sure the babies are safe 💪

Hannah is a young woman who dedicates her life to helping wildlife, and to go with it she has another job she works also, this girl has been my saving grace twice this year with wildlife babies. She's young and it's amazing what this girl does all at once FOR THE ANIMALS. If you have a kitten or a puppy that needs help I know what to do, but when it comes to wildlife it's not my specialty but this girl has a gift for helping the wild babies and she deserves so much credit and applause for what she does at such a young age. Hannah could use any and all donations as she is completely slammed this year along with every other rehabber in the world and they are only able to help with donations, some people think wildlife rehabs are government funded, they are not and run strictly off of donations from the community. Even if you can't help with $ she also needs towels, and blankets among other items you may have at home. Hannah you are a rock star ⭐, thank you for what you do 💪

Everyone meet Teddy, this sweet boy was posted on Facebook to be rehomed due to his family moving. One of my customers that already has a doodle met Teddy and fell in love with him, they decided to adopt him. The same day Teddy arrived at his new home is the same day he came to see me. I wasn't prepared for what walked through the door, in 15yrs this is probably the worst matting I have ever seen, taking it off was like trying to peel wet healthy tree bark off a tree, Teddy had Golf ball size matts INSIDE his ears, on the other side of the matts was tons of long time infection, it all HAD to be removed so his ears could breathe for the first time in God only knows how long. Once everything was removed and he was finally clean you could see all the bruises he had all over his body from how tight his Matt's were on his skin, his new parents made him a vet appointment immediately, Teddy has a double ear infection, Lyme Disease ( which means he was bitten by ticks) and Cancer yes I said that Teddy has cancer right along with everything else he had to endure. Thankfully with surgery everything is treatable. His new parents are getting him all the treatment he needs, Teddy couldn't have landed a better home, but the one he came from I'm going to keep my words to myself for professional purposes but I will say, this is absolutely neglect and absolutely irresponsible and uncalled for, no animal should have to live in this condition when there are so many groomers around, any long coated dog is high matinance and needs consistent grooming for comfortability just like humans do, I'm guessing Teddy hasn't been groomed many times in his life but he stood there pain and all and was happy to let us take all this nasty off his body, it's like he knew he was in the right place to start feeling better on that table and he is the absolute sweetest boy who never deserved this kind of neglect.
Please if you have a long coated dog, maintain it. I have come across many dogs that have needed relief from matting but this was by far the worst I've seen.
Teddy is scheduled for surgery soon, please send love and prayers to Teddy and his new parents, he is so very loved already. 🐾🐕❤️🙏

In case anyone is wondering about an effective method to remove ticks safely these tick spoons work very well! We use them at the shop also. They are a good thing to have in the event you or your pet gets a hitchiker! 🐕🐶🐾
