Sheril and I are hated by many Miniature Highland “breeders.”
These breeders quote us, because 99% of the information about the breed originated with our posts and nearly all of them contacted us prior to buying to ask us questions for hours. But then they trash us. Why? Because we don’t mince words. We call out scammers and those who cut corners.
Sheril and I will always put the miniature highland breed of cattle first. Above peoples’ feelings.

When we put the breed first, we end up putting our calves first, and we also end up putting customers first. Where does this leave the calves and customers of those who put $$$ first?

We worked briefly with a man who kept trying to sell people what he had available. We tried to explain to him that you sell people what they want and what they will find the highest success with, even if you don’t have any calves of that type available at the time. It fell on deaf ears. We don’t work with him any longer.

Buyers appreciate it when we point out unethical practices. The unethical do not. The miniature highland breed of cattle benefits when we speak up. Scammers do not. We’ve been told repeatedly that we are not good community members. Though it’s not the kind of community I want to be part of, it’s ironic that, with 20+ years of breeding, we were among the founders.
