This puts farm life in perspective. With the alpacas struggling with health issues, I updated the spreadsheet I use for medication doses to include their actual age, in addition to their birthday. Average life span of an alpaca is 15 to 20yrs. My herd of 43 consists of:
17 at: 6 weeks to 9yrs old
17 at: 10yrs to 14yrs old
9 at: 15yrs to 17yrs old.

Jonis taking advantage of the hay that I removed from the Little Boy's feeder but didn't have time to completely remove. Their pool was empty and handy place for it, plus I knew once I moved it, the Boy's would pick thru it more..
Also where Cliffy is Jonis will be... best buddies for the last 12yrs....

The stress without John n Lisa has been one thing. The extreme stress of trying to make dry hay was a total different level.
My birthday posts are a bit mixed up..
