It was an early morning at the Feys Kids Farm Project after an all-school performance the evening before at Monocacy Elementary as well as the Poolesville Varsity Girls Basketball win, keeping them undeffeated for the season and onto the third round of playoffs.
This morning dad was up to his short-order-chef duties and while he witnessed a great sunrise he made farm fresh eggs on bagels and cheeseburgers, with farm fresh eggs? You betcha! Dad actually thought the ground beef package was ground pork ...... so he improvised Feys style..... it was sooooo good!
Rainy day in Beallsville - upper MoCo but a great day for Jack Feys to present at the 4-H Beef Club Demonstration Day.
The Feys Kids are excited to have their FaceBook page back to the status of "up and running" after a several month hiatus. Their former page was removed by FB as they considered the Feys Kids Farm Project a business and therefore removed it. In its place they allowed my personal page aka George Feys. The kids and I are now back and dedicated to updating their activities and experiences so stay tuned.
The Feys Kids Farm Project currently has available for sale one week old Red Star production chicks. Please spread the word if you know of anyone who is looking for chicks from a great laying breed - 300+ eggs per year. The chicks are ready for their new homes now!
As the evening progressed, the Feys Kids were drawn to the star of the evening - baby Lucy.
The Feys Kids were helping with the Montgomery County 4-H Beef Club 5th annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser this past Saturday evening. There was a terrific turnout for the delicious food, silent auction and service from all of the very polite club members

And, Jacks Netherland Dwarf bunny business is off to a GREAT start. This is all part of the Feys Kids Farm Project - naturally.
Our second stop was to pick up some Cream Legbar chickens for our 2016 hatching season. They will be put into quarantine for 30 days and vaccinated before being placed in a breeding pen of their own. The Cream Legbars produce a BEAUTIFUL egg and we are excited about having them. Yay!
Today Jack & I went on an "adventure" with our dad, at least that is what he likes to call them. This usually involves some sort of animal.....
Our first stop was to a dog show where we met Elsa's breeder Mr. M.J. Cohen who taught us how to handle in a conformation show. He was very nice and had a 12 month old harlequin puppy there who just about came up to my shoulders.....almost!
Jack's Friesian ster mare Jacqueline had a beautiful c**t "Wout" in May. Will he grow up to look like our former stallion Fridse 423 Sport? We can only hope!
