We’re incredibly grateful to Ace Hardware for their generous paint donation! With their support, we hosted an art-filled afternoon with a group of at-risk youth who transformed plain poles into colorful obstacles for our therapy and community programs. These poles will now serve as tools for building trust, focus, and confidence in our sessions with both therapy and police horses.

Thank you, Ace Hardware of Saint Francis for making this possible!

Happy National Police Week to our horse and human friends on the Milwaukee Police Mounted Patrol Unit! There’s no one else we’d rather share our home with! Our partnership is the first of its kind in the nation and helps make our Milwaukee community safer and stronger by helping our clients build trust in law enforcement. Thank you for all you do to help make our mission possible!

Happy National Volunteer Week! Our volunteers are the heart of MKE Urban Stables! Their passion for our mission is inspiring. Rain (or more often snow) or shine, they give their time 365 days a year to help care for our herd of therapy horses and donkeys and make our work possible. Thank you volunteers! We couldn’t do it without you!

We have a big announcement! After years of serving our community as a therapy horse, Hawkeye will be joining a new herd. We’re proud to announce Hawkeye has finally achieved his dream of becoming a police horse and will be moving to the other side of the barn to join MPD Mounted Patrol! He’s a bit short but we know he’ll accomplish big things on the force!
