Quick Tip #4. Photo Breakdown: If Joe looks at a hoof and gets quiet… pay attention. He’s usually looking for:

• Cracks starting to form.
• Uneven wear.
• Signs of infection.

Most of this can be managed early if caught in time. Waiting is what turns it into a problem.

They climbed into the back of the CRV and immediately acted like this was their vehicle, their bedding, their supply run, and their life now.

Bandit said, “Road trip?”
Rebel said, “No, this is our house.”
I said words not approved for a family-friendly farm page.

This is what chores look like at Faeryland’s Farm: one human trying to work, two goats turning the back of a CRV into a luxury barn suite.

They are not in the way.

They are quality control. 🐐🚗

Animals first. Always.

Quick question for horse owners:

How often are you actually checking your horse’s hooves between farrier visits?

Not when something looks wrong—
just regular checks.

Joe says this alone would prevent a lot of the issues he sees.

Curious what everyone else is doing 👇

Bandit has now been discovered on the radio stand.

Why?

Nobody knows.

At this point, we are beginning to suspect she is not actually a goat.
She is a tiny cryptid that appears randomly throughout the property to cause confusion and mild emotional distress.

We never know where we will find her.

On the porch.
On the John Deere.
Inside something she should not fit inside.
Standing somewhere impossible while looking extremely proud of herself.

This has to be the funniest little goat on the farm.

Bandit does not walk through life.
She climbs directly onto it. 🐐😂

Bandit has once again selected a completely normal and reasonable place to relax.

The John Deere.

Because why lay in hay, grass, bedding, or literally any soft surface when you can sprawl across farm equipment like you own the place?

Around here, we never know where Bandit will lay down next.

A chair? Probably.
A feeder? Absolutely.
A tractor? Apparently, yes.
Somewhere useful that Joe needs? Almost guaranteed.

She is not resting.
She is supervising.

Animals first. Always. 🐐🚜

This is Rebel.

Rebel spends most of her time alternating between dramatic exhaustion and suspicious activity.

Five minutes before this photo? Running around like she personally invented chaos.
Five minutes after this photo? Probably bothering somebody’s fence line for enrichment purposes.

Goats are honestly a perfect lesson in boundaries and consent. They’ll tell you very clearly when they want space, when they want attention, and when they absolutely do not care about your plans for the day.

Rebel, for example, believes scheduled chores are more of a loose suggestion.

But this is sanctuary life.

Not polished.
Not staged.
Just rescued animals getting the chance to rest, play, cause mild problems, and exist safely on their own terms.

Honestly, seeing a rescue animal finally comfortable enough to nap in the dirt like this? That’s the good stuff.

Even if the “good stuff” sometimes comes with destroyed buckets.

We are rescue-first, animals-first, and committed to giving every animal here safety, dignity, and care for life.
