MACIE is a sweet, energetic lab, staffy and border collie mix. She is 4 years old, well mannered and does well with people of all ages. She has had good experiences with other dogs. Owner feels she needs someone with a little more energy than what they have to keep her exercised and a family member with dog allergies is moving in to their home. Macie is up to date on all of her shots, has been spayed, is housetrained and sleeps in her crate. She loves to cuddle and would love to be your new best friend. This sweet girls is Mamacita. She is our new mama cat and is about 5 weeks pregnant. She was found as a stray out in LaCenter and a nice couple was able to catch her and bring her in to keep her safe. She is currently in foster to have and raise her babies and when she is done she will be officially adopted by the couple who found her who also believes they have one of her kittens from a previous litter. She had been outside for a while, but she is now safe and warm inside curled up in her little cat cave.

Sofia is a 12 years young Maltese/Pomeranian mix and 7.5 lbs. She is super energetic and really enjoys long walks and warm laps! She fine with dogs, cats and respectful children.
She is crate trained, great on leash and enjoys car rides.
She is house trained if taken out regularly.
She's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and just went to the dentist. They had to pull the teeth that she had left. Healthy and ready for a nice retirement home!

At the end of August a six month old mama cat and her five babies came into our care. Everything was going ok and within a week, one by one, each kitten developed diarrhea, and within few weeks we were left with Mama Jemima and two surviving kittens. The kittens (Waffle and Omelet) and Mama all were spayed in November and waiting for their new homes.

In December Mama Jemima was adopted into a home with other cats. Her adoptive family said that she is doing great. She went from a scared little mama to a kitten who runs up for treats with the other cats when her new people come home.

Jemimas kittens were adopted as Christmas presents for a couple who had just lost their cat and were ready for some new babies to cuddle. The babies are doing great and becoming little snuggle bugs. Waffle kept her name and Omelets name was changed to Muffin (this was the name of one of her sisters who didn't make it). They all had a hard start to life but have ended up healthy and in happy homes.

Please check out our wishlist. Kittens and cats are hard on their toys and every once and a while new stuff is needed because it either gets worn out from play or constant cleaning or broken because of crazy kittens.

Check out Scamp!

Scamp is a mix of Border Collie/German Shepherd/Mutt! He was born Sept 13th.

Scamp is an energetic boy that's gonna need lots to do!

His parents are both about 50 lbs. He's doing good in his foster home - he loves all the dogs, the cats and the kids he met. Crate trained. Getting the hang of house training!

He's had his puppy shots and worming.
His adoption fee is $300 which will include his neuter at 6 months of age.

1/3 Maggie and McGee
These two gorgeous kitties are ready for a home with someone patient who will still work on helping them adjust to being part of a family. Although they are friends, they are not bonded and can go to separate homes. They’ve been with their foster mom for only three months and have gone from hiding and hissing, to seeking out attention. They are still skittish with sudden noises and movements, but once in a forever home each should be able to settle in and open up. Please enjoy this video starring Maggie and McGee 🤩

1/3 New Year, Another Kitty

Our Little Monkey Butt. Monkey is Second Chances special needs cat. This little man has been with us since May of 2021. He came to us as a little 3 month old kitten and will be four years old at the end of January. This little big man has Manx syndrome. He was born without his tail which made it so he is without the sensation of knowing when he has to use the bathroom. He is a sweet little guy who loves to play and loves to cuddle and pick on his foster siblings.
While Monkey just needs basic cat care he also needs some extra supplies. Since he can't use the litter box he needs diapers and other supplies to help keep his diaper area clean. Items that are helpful are diapers, wipes, gloves, antibiotic cream, diaper rash cream, microfiber towels, potty pads, etc...
If you feel like you could help supply some of these things please visit our wishlist below. Along with supplies for Monkey are also other items that will help us take care of the animals and give them the stimulation and care they need.

Can you believe Miss Boimler here, a female orange tabby, has been with us for 3 months and no one has adopted her yet??? We sure can’t believe it. She’s 8 months old and just the sweetest girl. Loves to get pets and loves to play. And look how her tail curls up over her back - the cutest! She is a little shy with new people so will need a little time to adjust, but she should settle in pretty easily. We know the right family is out there for her - could it be you?

Sammy had his surgery on 12/10 and is recovering in his foster home. His diaphragmatic hernia was caused by unknown trauma.

We love getting updates after our four legged friends get adopted. After checking in on Kelly, here is her new family’s reply to how she is:
“Great. I no longer have to sit on the floor in order for her to come out of her cave bed. She explores around the upper floor of our home...not ready to venture down yet. And last night she jumped up on the bed next to my husband to check him out!”
