Starting to work on leash training tonight! Some took to it right away and others struggled to understand why they couldn’t run around like they are used to! 😆 but by the end of the short 10-15 min session, they all followed into the house with the reward of dinner! 🥳

Crate training can be a tough one to teach. This week (after being gone on vacation for 2 weeks), we are working hard core on being okay in crate by themselves & eating out of their own bowl in the crate. This is preparatory for when they go to their own homes as well as any situation that they may need to be able to be quiet in a crate setting - the vet’s office, traveling in car and/or staying overnight in new place, emergency situations, a dog show, camping, and other public outings.

Tonight, all 6 went to their crates when told to “kennel” without any encouragement. 🥳

We are taking a long awaited vacation out west to Yellowstone & Montana so I am enjoying the last few minutes with puppies bc they are going to grow so big & fast while we are gone!!
So thankful for all of those helping in the care & keeping of our farm animals, the big & Little collies during this time!!

We got home from church tonight and found the 4 smooth boys running wild through the entire basement! Someone had left the gate open!
