YES Main Street Bath !
A word on celebrating Independence Day this year and the theme of Supporting Local.
Main Street Bath coordinates events to draw people in, where they 🎵 "Can't help falling in love with..." beautiful Downtown Bath. And that falling in love includes interacting with local businesses. Brick and Mortar, as well as those here for these few special days.
Bath Heritage Days wants all visitors to fall in love with downtown Bath, while celebrating small businesses from our surrounding regions and the state of Maine.
All the Food Trucks at Waterfront Park and Library Park are local Maine businesses (with the exception of one from NH that has been coming for decades).
All the fifty artisans at Art in the Park are local businesses (with again, the exception of one from NH that has been coming for years!).
All the musicians on both the Main Stage and the Gazebo are local Maine artists and performers.
Our Beer Garden this year is being run by an amazing local year-round business.
The Antique Car show is populated with cars that can get here early in the morning..
The Strawberry Shortcake Social is organized by the Bath Area Food Bank and their proceeds go back to supporting the hungry here in Bath.
The Firemen's Muster is powered by local folks, even if they have competitors "from away".
Our Sound & Lighting Engineer is from Lewiston, (and they do the concerts at LL Bean - just one amazing item on their long resume).
The fireworks vendor is a family run business from the heart of Maine.
Even our porta potty vendor is local, from Phippsburg!
The Independence Day Parade's theme is "The Spirit of Bath" where our Grand Marshal is our Fire Chief. We are celebrating who we are in this community of midcoast, Maine.
We expect people to plan repeat visits to downtown Bath, after being lured here by the excitement of this event.
"Come for the fried dough but return again and again for all the small businesses that call this place Home."
Please consider finding ways to support, engage with, and celebrate all of our small businesses by joining in the fun of the 51st Bath Heritage Days.
