This month will be the last month my shop will be open in Red Hive Market. As much as I love being there, my sales have slowed and I needed to make a tough decision. If things are looking differently in the future, I would cherish the opportunity to be a part of the space again.
I’m using this decision as a pivot point for SageStitchCo as a whole. As much as I have loved making so many goodies for folks through the years, a lot of the growth I have had has been unsustainable for one person to manage. The larger art pieces and projects I always cherished making have been on a back burner for years now. This is going to be a time when SageStitchCo slows down, and I reorient myself as an artist as well as a stitcher.
It’s not farewell! My online shop will still be open. I intend to remain involved in the local community. Hopefully have more time for wishlist initiatives I have wanted to get started for years.
I appreciate all the support and love you’ve shared with me over the years supporting this micro-business. My last day working in the shop will be the morning of Aug 25th. If you’re free, stop in and say hello!
It’s a new phase, the next book in an ongoing series, and I hope you stick around to see what’s next.

Saw Spider-Man: Brand New Day for the second time this weekend and I loved it even more than the first time.
It’s funny, you can stitch so much over so many years you can forget things you’ve made. It hit me as the credits rolled that I had stitched Spider-Man (in 2021), back when I did a bunch of black line style homages to different Marvel characters and hand drawn comic art.
This was Spidey in a 4” hoop.

It is World Embroidery Day today, and I would be remiss if I did not pause to express gratitude and love for this beautiful art form. It’s through needle and thread I feel connected to humanity. Countless generations across different cultures have used embroidery to express themselves, document histories, and find community. I feel honored to be an incredibly small link on an ever winding chain of legacy. One that has connected me with so many wonderful people through the years, the most surprising one being myself. I don’t think I would be where I am in life, mentally or physically, if it was not for the joy I have found in stitching. There is something so grounding about participating in an art so ancient and experiencing all the ways it remains more relevant than ever. I have learned countless lessons about patience, practice, adaptability, slowing down, and having faith in myself and my abilities (as a stitcher and as a human being) along the way.
Embroidery, I love you.

The best art inspires more art and creation.
One of the many reasons I love is the creativity and costuming she inspires with . You’re surrounded every show by the most gorgeous people with completely unique looks, and yet each one looks like it belongs there. For the second stop I was able to attend, I decided to bring my best as a hand embroideress with some custom stitching. Though I couldn’t include every single lyric/moment I loved from Everybody Scream, I did fit a few of my favorites alongside the album iconography. Harder to photograph than I thought it would be, as the design is all about how it moves with me when I dance, but here are my attempts.
