Tick season is off to a head start here in Massachusetts. Already grabbed three dear ticks off my dog and she only walks along the road side. As much as I hate the poisonous flea and tick prevention methods, her holistic vet is now recommending them. Is an ounce of prevention worth a pound of cure?

It seems appropriate that my last post was about my Indy. Very sad news. I lost Indy yesterday afternoon. She was fine in the early morning, but by 10:00 am she was sitting on the bottom of her cage. She allowed me to reach in and pick her up. Not a good sign. I held her for the next couple of hours while she looked into my eyes and took her last breath. It just does not get any easier.

Spent some time today making Indy, my quaker, some new tents to sleep in. I made three for now. Two small ones for her big cage and one larger one for the little cage. She hasn't gone in any of them yet, but she does hate new things in her cages. She will explore them on her own terms.
