Description

My Camelot Macaws are a 2nd generation hybrid. This means that one of it's parents was a naturally occuring Macaw, and the other was a hybrid. My Camelot is a cross of a Catalina Macaw (A Blue & Gold bred with a Scarlet) , and a Scarlet Macaw. They are known for being very intelligent, and comical companion birds. With it's traits being strong on the Scarlet side they respond well to training, but must be worked with daily to ensure that they remain tame, docile, and happy because they do get bored easily and must be provided with adequate mental stimulation in order to avoid aggressive, and destructive behavior.

They live 60 to 85 years, and some even older due to modern healthier diets, exercise, and mental stimulation. Macaws are not a parrot for first time bird owners, and a lot of thought, and consideration should go into the idea of getting one for a companion bird.

My African Grey Parrot are wonderful and highly intelligent birds. African Grey Parrots require a serious commitment and are great lifelong companions. Anyone who has an African Grey or who has had one will tell you that you can't really consider an African Grey Parrot a pet because the privilege of living with one is truly a unique and unforgettable experience.

There are two general types of the African Grey Parrot – the Congo African Grey and the Timneh African Grey. African Grey Parrots are loving, playful, have the intelligence level of up to a five-year old with the temperament of a two-year old, and bring joy and laughter into the lives and families of all who have the pleasure of knowing one. African Greys are known as the "Einstein's" of the parrot world because of their incredible talking ability.
