While in Korea I joined the Korean Racing Pigeon Assocation. I tried my hand at racing in 1991, (lost all my birds by the second race) and again in 2007, (lost them all by the third race). In 2012, I dalways kept a subscrptiption to the latest racing pigeon magazine, Racing Pigeon Bulletin, Throubred and of curse the Racing Pigeon Digest. Ive always been attracted to white and grizzle rcing pigeon
s because of the color but knew I wanted to win races, I needed Quality White and grizzles. I decided to make some money doing something that I love and decided to start a white dove rlease business and Faithful Wings was born. I bought a kit of white racing homers to start my white dove release business from an ad in the back of the Digest. In the kit of 12 was, several white with just a few red feathers on them. I asked the breeder where they came from and he replied, "Off of a red grizzle named Cloud Chaser, bred by Art Casale of Arrowhead lofts, in San Diego, CA" and that if I paid the shipping, he was mine!! After receiving AU 05 AH 19, "Cloud Chaser", I contacted Art to obtain some information and possibly a pedigree for him. After a very short time on the phone with him, I occurred to me that not only was I talking to someone I personally admired from a far, (always loved grizzles, and always saw his ads in racing Pigeon Digest), but he was down to earth!! A great friendship and Partnership was formed. Art told me that it was a great coincidence that I was contacting him concerning Cloud Chaser, he loaned another fancier a half sister to Cloud Chaser about 6 years prior and she just showed up on his landing board a couple weeks prior to my call! Well, Art ended up gifting me AU 04 WDRP 34, who I later named "MAKAWEE", along with some other very key breeders. After succesful 2012 and 2013 Young Bird season, I was hooked on Arrowhead pigeons and got rid of every pigeon in my loft except for one hen. Because I only fly Art's family of birds he joked that I should change my name to Arrowhead Lofts EAST and he change his loft name to Arrowhead Lofts WEST and a Partnership was born!! Since then I have had the pleasure of him gifting me and laoing birds that my pockets would have never allowed me to aquire. Even though Art has several family of pigeons. We here at Arrowhead Lofts EAST, concentrate on the Lamberton Antoine Jacops and Vervoot Phantoms and Mike Ganus Antione Jacops, vervoot Phantom, Golden Whitten/White Horse families.
