They may look like they’re posing for a class picture, but moments like this are actually part of the enrichment and structure we practice here every day. 🐾📸

Small-group daycare isn’t just nonstop chaos and free-for-all play. The dogs also practice calming down together, waiting patiently, sharing space, and working on basic group commands like sit, stay, place, recall, and polite manners around other dogs.

You’d be surprised how much confidence and self-control dogs build simply by learning how to relax in a group setting. ❤️

Plus… let’s be honest… some of them have absolutely learned that sitting nicely gets praise, treats, and photos. 😆

One of my favorite things to watch is a group of completely different dogs learning how to settle together and focus while training. I love seeing them learning new skills and the regulars master them over and over, all while becoming buddies along the way. 🌿

These two may not look like they’d become best friends, but just watch the video. 🐾

Gus, the Shih Tzu, actually lives with GSPs (German Shorthaired Pointers), so he’s very used to big, energetic dogs and absolutely loves to play. Funny enough, it was Shelby — the big American Labrador — who was unsure of little Gus at first. ❤️

With slow introductions, praise, and taking things nice and easy, this was the result by this morning.












One of my favorite things about small group boarding and daycare is watching dogs build confidence, learn social skills, and form the sweetest unexpected friendships. ✨

Small group daycare means the dogs become part of the family here. 🐾

Today’s crew: Monty, Fern, and Koda — plus my own dogs, who happily volunteered as the official daycare welcoming committee. ❤️

Not all boarding experiences feel the same to a dog 🐾

A lot of times, people think they’re comparing prices…
when they’re really deciding what kind of experience their dog will have while they’re away.

At Adventure Awaits Fido!, I intentionally keep things small so the dogs get more than just basic care.

They spend their days running, playing, exploring, soaking up the sunshine, resting on raised beds, watching birds and squirrels, practicing positive social skills, and settling into a calm routine with real interaction throughout the day. 🌿

This isn’t just a quick potty break and back into a kennel.
It’s an environment designed around what dogs actually need: movement, rest, enrichment, structure, and connection.

That’s the difference between simply boarding a dog…
and giving them an experience. 🐾

With warmer weather, travel plans picking up, and many of my regulars already booked, I’m down to just a handful of openings for May boarding and small group daycare.

This is a little different than a traditional kennel—
I keep things intentionally small so each dog gets real attention, a calm environment, and a structured, enriching day.

If your pup thrives with:
• A peaceful, home-like stay (not a loud, overwhelming space)
• Safe, small group play with thoughtful supervision
• Outdoor time, nature walks, and mental enrichment
• Being treated like family—not just another reservation

…they tend to do really well here 💛

Because I only take a limited number of dogs at a time, once spots are filled, I’m not able to add more.

Meet Lily and Macie, the Frenchie. They are spunky, funny, and full of energy. Lily has one objective: Get human to play ball or tug of war. Luckily Macie helps me out sometimes. And they provide all the entertainment when she does! Macie snorts, grumbles, hops, and definitely has more power than her appearance.

Took my crew out for a waterfall hike last night 🌿🐾

This right here… this is why I do what I do.

Not just running in a yard, not just “getting through the day”…
but real freedom, real movement, real experiences.

Watching dogs learn how to move together, check in, and just enjoy being dogs out here is everything.

This is the kind of life I want for every dog that stays with me: safe, structured, and full of adventure.

And yes… they all passed out HARD after this 😂

Traditional kennel boarding often means lots of barking, rows of runs, rotating staff, and dogs spending a big part of the day waiting for their turn.

Small-group boarding here is different.

At Adventure Awaits Fido!, dogs stay in a more personal, home-like environment with intentional small groups, careful introductions, real supervision, outdoor time, rest, play, and enrichment built into the day.

I get to actually know each dog’s personality — who loves to play, who needs a slower introduction, who wants extra cuddles, who loves exploring, and who just wants a cozy, peaceful place to relax.

This is not a high-volume, one-size-fits-all setup.

It is small on purpose.

For the right dogs, that means less chaos, more individual attention, safer socialization, and a stay that feels a whole lot more like a fun sleepover than a stressful kennel stay.

If you want your dog somewhere they are known, cared for, and treated like part of the group, that is exactly what I offer here. 🐾
