Sweet Lemon crossed the Rainbow Bridge this week, and our hearts are broken. She was a friend to everyone she met and especially loved spending time with Valerie and her many French Bulldog friends. We know she is reunited with her old friend Duncan, running and playing together once again. Thank you for the joy, love, and memories, Lemon. Meet Susan. ❤️
A few weeks ago, a small French Bulldog was found abandoned in an airline crate outside a minimart in Austin. She had no microchip, no identification, and no one came forward to claim her.
After spending time at the Austin Humane Society and recovering in foster care, Susan officially joined the Lone Star Leash Services family this week.
She's about five years old, incredibly sweet, surprisingly brave, and already making herself at home with Valerie, Rachel, and Tina. Despite everything she's been through recently, Susan has greeted every new person, dog, and situation with a gentle and trusting spirit.
We're grateful to the Austin Humane Society, the foster family who cared for her, and everyone who helped give her a second chance.
Welcome home, Susan. We think you're going to like it here. 🐾
