Ethos Veterinary Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Zachary Neumann, DVM, MS, DACVIM, as Chairman of the Specialty Advisory Board (SAB) Veterinarian Branch. 🙌

The SAB plays a vital role in advancing veterinary medicine across Ethos by:
🩺 Facilitating communication among clinicians
🩺 Serving as a strategic focus group
🩺 Offering expert consultation

Dr. Neumann previously served as Vice Chairman of the SAB Veterinarian Branch and as Chairman of the SAB’s Network Engagement Committee. He is a medical oncologist and Medical Director at Southeast Veterinary Oncology and Internal Medicine (SEVO-Med) in Jacksonville, Florida.

“I am honored to step into this role and excited about the opportunity to build on our SAB’s strong foundation by further engaging our specialists across the network,” said Dr. Neumann. “By fostering open dialogue, we can help guide strategy, identify innovations that make a real difference in the clinic, and strengthen the bond between our hospitals and leadership.”

Dr. Neumann earned his DVM and MS from the University of Illinois, where he also completed a residency in medical oncology. He became board-certified in 2015 and has practiced with SEVO-Med since then.

As Chairman, Dr. Neumann will work closely with Ethos leadership and the soon-to-be-launched SAB Nursing Branch to further the organization’s mission of innovation and collaboration in veterinary care.

Out of grief, a movement grew — one step at a time. In honor of ***dePreventionMonth and ***dePreventionDay, we share the inspiring journey of our very own, once veterinary technician now marketing manager, Liz Hilliard, from Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, and her daughter Grace, who turned personal loss into a source of hope for others.

After losing Grace’s dad, Glenn, to su***de in 2017, Liz and Grace turned their grief into purpose by joining the Out of the Darkness Walk with the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention. What began as a walk between mother and daughter has grown into Grace’s Gang — a powerful team of family, friends, colleagues (and even pets!) united in raising awareness and support.

Since its founding, they have raised over $110,000 — and continue to remind us of the healing power of community, and that no one has to walk alone...
