Meet March's Pet of the Month, Billi!! 😍 Billi is a 5 year old Himalayan. Not only is he handsome, but he is always SO brave for his eye exams.

His mom shared:
"Billi absolutely loves attention and doesn’t hesitate to demand his fair share of pets—multiple times a day, of course. If you hear adorable announcements echoing from room to room, that’s just Billi making sure everyone knows he’s on the move.

Billi is also a curious observer of the outdoors. His favorite pastime is lounging in the patio, watching birds flutter by and rabbits hop around like his personal TV show.

Charming, expressive, and just a little bit demanding, Billi runs the house with love (and a lot of meows)."

Please welcome our newest team member, Leah!! We are so excited to have her joining our incredible Far West team as a technician. She is already stealing the hearts of our feline patients 😻 Here’s a little bit more about her:

She was born in Las Vegas, NV and moved to Texas when she was 17. She started working in Veterinary medicine as a receptionist in 2014, moving to a vet tech position in 2016.
She has two human children (Ellie and Dean) and three kitty children. All rescues! Leila, Killua, and Ru. Ru is special needs.

In her free time she likes to cook, sew, create different types of art, write, go to karaoke with friends, and watch horror movies !

Meet February’s Pet of the Month!! Maisy has captured all of our hearts over the years with her very sweet personality. ❤️

Her mom shared this great summary 😍

“Maisy is a Spaniel/Terrier mix and she’s almost 10.5 years old. We adopted her at 6 months after she was found abandoned. She was a very timid, scared girl when she first came to us but has grown up to be so strong, smart and brave.

She loves walks, car rides, looking out the back door for squirrels, mealtime, blueberries, her people, naps and snuggles!”

Meet, BB, our January Pet of the Month!

BB has been a patient with us for 3 years! Unfortunately she had her right eye removed due to glaucoma but that has not slowed her down!

Her parents shared “BB was one of five kittens born in the front yard to a feral mom. We were able to TNR everyone but no one opted to "come inside" at the time. Unfortunately BB was the only one to survive the hazards of the outdoors and followed Otto (another neighborhood feral) into the garage. Both changed their minds about street life, allowed us to get them to the vet for a checkup and then moved on in.

She’s even shown with her buddy Otto below!

Holiday Hours Update!

The clinic is closed early on New Year’s Eve and closed on New Year’s Day.

There will be a fabulous staff member in the office on Friday December 26 and Monday December 29th to answer questions, provide refills and schedule! Dr Walsh (and Dogtor Kovu) will be out of office those days, so please be patient as responses will be delayed.

Please help us wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY and say WELCOME to our newest technician, Cesilie!

Cesilie has been in veterinary medicine since 2018 and became a graduate of Hawaii's Veterinary Technology program in 2020. Most of her career has been in veterinary oncology as a chemotherapy technician. She has one chihuahua named Beanie, she is a small but mighty 5lb girl. She was adopted from the Hawaii humane society in 2018 and has moved over the ocean 3 times! In Cesilie’s free time she is usually reading, crafting, walking Beanie, or going to the gym. She enjoys time outdoors and trying new restaurants with her husband. She is excited to learn a new specialty and gain new knowledge and skills this ophthalmology department!

We are so excited to have Cesilie as a part of the team and hope she has the absolute best day! 🎉🎉🎉

Happy December!! Meet Paula, our December Pet of the Month! ❤️ Paula visits our office for management of her glaucoma. She is paws down one of our bravest patients.

Her parents shared a wonderful summary:
"We are often asked, 'What kind of dog is that?!' and the answer is... we have no idea. We'd like to think our girl Paula is a breed of her own!

Paula is nearly 6 years old and is the epitome of a pandemic puppy, following us into every room and accompanying us most places! She goes to so many coffee shops that now she knows the smell of coffee = treat!

She's smart, calm, funny, loves a particular toy possum, gives the sassiest side-eye, and leads us to the local pet store every time we go on our walk to get a treat. Most weekends you can find Paula taking a dip in a greenbelt, where she loves wading and playing in the water with her bestie Roman. Even though she is slowly losing her vision due to glaucoma, she hasn't stopped chasing the squirrels out of her yard. We couldn't love her more if we tried!"
