Say hello to Dahlia, a 7-month-old purebred Golden Retriever puppy with a heart as big as her fluffy paws! This gentle girl is the full package—sweet, smart, and full of those classic golden goofball antics that will keep you smiling every day.

Dahlia is all about love and play—she’s great with other dogs, adores kids, and has that easygoing, affectionate temperament the breed is known for. Whether she’s chasing a ball, flopping over for belly rubs, or trotting after her humans like a little shadow, Dahlia is happiest when she’s part of the fun.

If you have the space, these pups would be furever grateful if you could give them a small break from the shelter and host them over Thanksgiving. 🐾

If you’re interested in hosting, will provide a crate so that your guest pup can be tucked away safely while you have visitors. 🐶 PLUS - all adoption fees are waved for the dogs staying in crates.

Austin Animal Center is open every day from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. and is closed on Thanksgiving.

Buster Bluth is back from surgery and doing well! 💕💕💕 They amputated his front leg, which he has been living with it broken and hanging on him for a while. 💔 If you can help with medical expenses, or just share his story that would be wonderful.
