We’re absolutely heartbroken to see these tragic floods hit so close to home 💔 The devastation from this weekend’s weather has left hundreds of pets and shelter animals displaced and in trouble.

Your floof is a social butterfly! The life of the party! A total chaos gremlin! Untilllll.... the fireworks start 😩 Uh oh.

The scaredy shakes are here and they aren’t any fun 😔💔

Here’s some tips on how to prepare for the (very loud) holiday weekend👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Before fireworks:
🐾 Take your dog for a long walk or fetch session earlier in the day to expend some of that excess nervous energy!
🔐Secure windows and doors, as some floofs will startle and bolt when frightened 😢
📿Ensure your dog’s microchip or collar information is up-to-date in case of an accidental escape

During fireworks:
🏠Create a safe space - when floofs can huddle somewhere familiar and cozy, (like a padded crate or right by you on the couch) they feel more secure!
🔊Try sound masking - play calming music or white noise to help drown out the abrupt bangs from fireworks
🦴 Treats are a great distraction - offer chew toys/treats or try playing their favorite game to keep their mind’s occupied and attention engaged (on anything OTHER than the scary loud noises!)

That’s it! Big floof parent points for making it to the end😁 We loveeee all our special floofs, and hope everyone stays safe and has a super fun weekend💜🐶🎆

PS: This is generalized advice, so please consult your veterinarian if your dog shows signs of severe anxiety! Some floofs need more than the basics, and that’s always ok 💞

Here to shine a little love on our most popular service: 🌙Overnights🌙⁠

Here's the highlights:⁠
🏠️Our sitters set up your home as their "base," and aren't away for longer than you feel comfortable with your floofs being alone. This ensures they are readily available for feedings, treats, walks, and allllll the snuggle and play time in between. ⁠
⏰️Our typical check-in (5pm) & check-out (11am) times can be adjusted to better suit your needs, but are based around the average Floof's feeding schedule. This allows the sitter enough time to finish off your pet's night/morning routines and clean up before heading out!⁠
🌟In 2024, we had 587 overnights! While other petsitting services might have owners book both an overnight AND a drop in during the day, our flexible service helps to minimize the amount of bookings and scheduling specifications (so you can spend more brain space on your vacay or work trip!)⁠
🐶Overnights can especially help floofs that might get anxious in daycares, kennels, or around other animals. While floofs are always sad to see their owners go, staying in a familiar place with their family's scents helps them adjust to their own mini-vacation! Our sitters always aim to maintain your pet's normal routine and environment, with an extra dose of love and attention 💞
