My Beloved Copo πŸ™πŸ»β„οΈπŸΆπŸ’™πŸ™πŸ» Copo's Legacy

As everyone knows, Copo is the most loved thing I have in this world, ever since he arrived in my life at two months of age. I wish with all my soul that he celebrates his 12th birthday this April 3, 2026, and continues to do so for many, many more years.

I feel incredibly blessed to still have him with me, because this past Tuesday, November 11, he had his third surgery to remove skin cancer (he underwent surgery twice in 2024). We prepared for two weeks for the procedure, as we must take special care of him since he is an older dog and has a heart condition that was diagnosed when Copito was four years old. Obviously, it terrifies me to think that I could lose himβ€”a possibility that has been repeated to me since he was diagnosed with his heart problem almost eight years ago.

I am especially grateful to my God Jehovah, to the doctors and specialists in Mexico and the USA who have treated Copo since he was a puppy, and to Dr. Lana Dahl and the EVC team, who successfully performed all three surgeries and who treat all of our furry friends, including Canek, even though he is hairless! A huge thank you to my mother and family who cared for my baby Copito while I was traveling, and to my friend and business partner, Eric, who helped me bring Copo here, prepared everything for his arrival, and looks after his well-being all the time. Thanks also to Eric's family, who, in one way or another, have kept up with us. And to all the people who have cared for him.

For now, Canek is on vacation with his trainer, Luis, so I can focus on Copo's recovery. Bandido has improved significantly with acupuncture, Cindy is doing quite well for her age, all the kittens are also fine, and we have already rehomed most of the ducks.

In 15 days, we will remove Copito's sutures so he can return to his normal routine. Thank you all so much for your well wishes, and many blessings for all of our faithful friends so they can happily stay with us for many more years. Happy start to the weekend!✨️

We already scanned him; he doesn't have a microchip or tag. The collar isn't a GPS tracker, it's a shock collar.

He was near Hwy 71W and Watts Lane. I'll go put up flyers this afternoon.

Good morning, family!

Our altar survived last night's storm. All our furry friends were working to protect it. Like many casitas in Mexico, we had some small leaks, but nothing that will stop us from having a great day today.

If you have the opportunity to visit us and share your stories with us, we will be here from 10 am to 11 pm at Hemisfair Park in San Antonio, TX.

Tomorrow the voting also begins, so if you like our altar, we would appreciate it if you could vote at muertosfest.com. or you can download their app to vote.

What do you do while you wait for the last-minute photos they sent?

Well, you set up a workstation in the fabric department at Walmart and get to work... writing all the stories by hand...

Our heart is so full seeing our ofrenda come to life.

It's starting to look beautiful, and it feels even more complete now that we're placing the pictures of our cherished pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈

They may be gone, but they will never, ever be forgotten. ❀️

It was a very tiring day, and if it weren't for our friends, .the.tripawd parents, we would still be unloading the truck. Last night we managed to assemble the structure of the altar, and since we only slept 3 hours the previous day, we decided to rest and finish the altar and our booth today...

We'll be posting updates on how it's coming along throughout the day. We look forward to seeing you this weekend, starting tomorrow at 5pm.
