UPDATE:🐎🙏 We have currently raised $280 to help these two souls! We are more than halfway there let’s continue to fight. Please help us share this post so we can get these two horses safe. .We don’t have much time before they’re sent down a horrible path. This person will sell them to a kill buyer. We are trying to save them before they end up there .
We need your help to say YES again. Today, we were contacted about two horses desperately in need of rescue. One is severely malnourished, with every rib visible and a swollen hind leg that will need veterinary attention. The other is a lame Hackney pony who is struggling to get around comfortably. Their future is uncertain, and without intervention, they will likely be sent to auction. The owner has agreed to let us purchase both horses for just $250 each the amount they would likely bring at auction. That means we have the opportunity to save both lives for $500. But the truth is, $500 only saves them on day one. After that comes the veterinary care, feed, farrier work, medications, and everything else they will need to heal. Rescue is never just the purchase price. It’s the commitment that follows. It’s the promise that once they step onto our trailer, they will never have to wonder where their next meal comes from or whether someone will care for them when they are sick or hurting. As many of you know, Lily’s Ranch & Rescue is already caring for over 150 animals. Every time we say yes, we take on another life depending on us. Every yes means more feed, more hay, more medical care, and more responsibility. We haven’t said no yet. We’re standing at that familiar crossroads where our hearts are telling us these horses deserve a chance, but we need to know we can provide that chance responsibly. Can you help us save them? If 50 people donated just $10, we could secure their freedom. Anything beyond that would go directly toward the veterinary care, feed, and farrier services they will need once they arrive. These horses don’t know they are running out of options. They don’t know they’re one auction away from an uncertain future. But we do. And together, we can change their story.
