Meet Zola! 😻

Zola is an estimated 6 ½-year-old German Shepard who is spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped. Zola is a sweet girl with a few quirks. She loves going for walks, and along the way will pick up every stick that she can find and to bring home as a souvenir. She sometimes will even gnaw on a rock. We think this is because she is very anxious as the shelter life is just not for her.

Zola would do best in a home where she is the only dog in a quiet, adult-only household, preferably with German Shepard experience. If you come to see Zola, she will come off as very intimidating when in her kennel, but once you have some one-on-one time with her, you will see how loving she can be. If interested in Zola, come stop by the shelter for a meet and greet We have adoption applications on site and online at www.nattleboro.com.

UPDATE 8/16/25: The smaller, female dog on the left has been caught and is receiving care. (Thank you to the community members that brought her to safety!) The intact male on the right is still loose and we are still trying to confirm if there is a third. The male was last seen on Maddy Ln off Reservoir St.

We are looking for any information on two tan and white dogs that have been seen in the areas around Adamsdale Rd, Grandview Dr and Mendon Rd North Attleboro.

If you see these dogs, please don’t chase them as they will most likely run off. Please call the shelter at 508-699-0128 with any sightings or information. Thank you!

Meet Libby! 🐶

Libby is an estimated 2-year-old mixed breed that is up to date on shots and was recently spayed on Aug. 5. Libby was absndoned on a main road in the area, and it took many people to safely catch her. She was very scared and confused when she was first brought to the shelter, but as time went by, this playful girl started to show her real personality.

It may take a few moments for Libby to warm up to you, but take her for a walk and you’ll be her best friend. She is a sweetie but can startle easily, so a home with kids 13 and older would be best. If interested in Libby, come stop by the shelter for a meet and greet. Adoption applications are available on-site and online at www.nattleboro.com.

One of these things is not like the other…

This young raccoon got itself into a bit of a situation when scavenging for lunch in a local facilities’s trash bin and couldn’t get back out.

Staff overheard noise coming from the bin and called our Animal Control team for assistance in getting it back to freedom. 🦝🦝🦝

Raccoons are scavengers and opportunistic feeders, so we encourage everyone to keep closed, tight-fitting lids on trash barrels and dumpsters to deter such behavior.

Meet Tiger Kitty! 😻

When Tiger Kitty was brought to us she was not a happy camper, but when we brought her to the vet for a full examination, we found out why. The poor girl had major dental issues, causing her pain and discomfort. After dental surgery and the removal of some teeth, Tiger Kitty is much happier! All she wants now is some love and neck scratches! Due to how many teeth were removed, Tiger Kitty will have to stay on a wet food diet only. If you think this sweet girl would be a good fit for your family, then stop by the shelter during visiting hours and meet this lovely lady!
