Sad post… I’m sorry, but this is my reality today. 💔

Today, Daisy is sad.

Her sisters left this morning to go home with their families, and Daisy was the one left behind. No one has chosen her yet, and now she’s missing her sisters. I can hear her crying for them, and honestly… it hurts my heart. 😞

When a puppy isn’t chosen, I’m often asked, “Why? Is there something wrong with her?”

The truth is, I don’t have an answer.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Daisy. She is sweet, beautiful, healthy, and so deserving of a family to call her own. Sometimes, for reasons I simply can’t explain, the right person just hasn’t found their way to that particular puppy yet.

I know Daisy’s family is out there. I just wish they would find her soon. ❤️

Today should have been Daisy’s Welcome Home Day, too. Instead, she’s still here… listening as her sisters leave, wondering where they went, and crying for them.

So today, I’m asking…

🐾 I was recently asked if I ever put my in a “teddy bear” groom. The answer is YES! 🧸✂️

is the one you’ll most often see in this . Her coat is perfect for it, and it’s usually how I keep her groomed. See her before and after pics below.

Today, though, she’s my version of a traditional Schnauzer groom. And at nearly 10 weeks post-pregnancy, I think this mama looks pretty darn good! ❤️ She’s in condition and ready to see our veterinarian Monday for her annual vaccinations and wellness exam.

💉 Did you know? Vaccinations are generally delayed for moms during pregnancy and while nursing. Once their puppies are weaned, routine vaccinations can resume.

Safety is always our top priority at Happy Schnauzers of Kansas—for our moms, puppies, and family. 🐾❤️

Daisy loves her stroller rides! 🐾💕 Today was for her well puppy exam at the clinic 💉 her and both of her sisters received ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fun fact: Our dogs and puppies ride in the stroller for all of their veterinarian visits. This is an important part of our protocol, helping us minimize the potential for outside germs and contaminants to make their way back into our home.

Before the stroller comes back inside, the wheels and entire stroller are thoroughly . 🧼✨

And here’s another fun fact: our puppies get plenty of random stroller rides around the house too! 😂 This helps them become and familiar with riding in a stroller from a young age, so it’s nothing new or scary when they need to use one.

Little experiences like this are just another way we work on raising , well-adjusted puppies! ❤️

It’s time to officially introduce ! This guy had a rough beginning (as some may remember) but has thrived and grown into an absolutely guy. It’s so awesome to have had the opportunity to see how his has developed as he’s grown. We are excited to see what this guy has in store for the of HSOKS! This guy is not only visually but also genetically. According to Embark he is Eme, kbky, atat, Bb, Ssp, Rr as well as N/273 merle length tested by UC Davis.
